I called the 1-866# at 10:30pm Friday night because of furnace failure, and was told a service would be scheduled late Sunday. I told the operator it was going to be -26C overnight, they put me on hold for a few minutes and then told me someone would be available between 8:00am-1:00pm the next day. I asked "what can I do about no heat"? the response was " have a good night" and a hang up.
The service tech (Matt M.) called at about 11:00 am the next morning, and had me check a few things ( ice plug in the intake pipe). I managed to clear it by the time he arrived and then he checked the system to make sure all was well. Thanks Matt!..
Matt M. provided excellent service, but I'd fire the phone response team. They didn't ask any simple questions or provide any suggestions that could have prevented all of this. I was up all night trying to make sure my pipes didn't freeze and keep warm.
