    Service on furnace

Reza was polite and efficient. He explained the humidifier settings, the thermostat control and the work he performed, on the cleaning of the furnace. Reza smiled when he came to the door and he was professionally friendly. He also, took his winter boots off at the door and left them on the mat. Thank you!

    hot water tank issue

Jordon had water tank changed quickly and efficiently with little to no mess. Removed the old tank. Knowledgeable about his trade. He was also able to advise on insurance available and other products available through Reliance.

    Fix toilet

After one of our toilets sprang a leak inside the toilet tank, we called Reliance. They agreed to a repair visit 2 days off, "Bob" arrived before 8 am, put on his sock covers, asked for an explanation of the problem, fixed it, tested it, explained it and left. PERFECT !!!!!!!!

    Furnace maintenance

I had an annual service done on my furnace by Matt Coulombe that is covered by my monthly payment. He was friendly, informative and to the point. I was very pleased and will continue to deal with reliance.

    Home Comfort Protection Plan

Update: June 10 2021. After 20 years of outstanding service including annual maintenance as part of my Home Comfort Protection Plan which I pay for by the month, I must regrettably change my rating from 10 to only 1. I tried to book my annual maintenance for A/C and Furnace and was given a date of September 30th, 4 months after it is due. No explanation other than I am not a priority right now. I later discovered Reliance has locked out their employees since May 18 and are using 3rd party contractors for urgent repairs. I saw a recent news article about how a customer’s repairs were botched. Others say they can’t get appointments for 3 weeks which doesn’t bold well in 30 degree weather with an A/C breakdown. Conflicts with employees happens. I get that, but when you are an essential service you must never put yourself in a situation where your faithful and loyal customers are adversely affected. There is no excuse for this mishandling of your internal affairs, If my equipment breaks down between now and September 30 and my maintenance appointment gets cancelled, I will find someone else to handle the most important equipment in my household. Shame.

    Joan Johnson in owen sound

Hag appt set for today between 1-6. Got email of confirmation 7:40 reach would be here. Had to be out in the morning and came in at 12:20 ..phompne medpssage saying won't be here. Called reliance. Now have to wait with no hot water till Mon between 10-2 Motor on unit running constantly. Guess it finally blew and not running at all now. My Plummer told me it would happen as motor on too long. Reliance saying I did not say I had no hot water ...reliance did not tell me to call back if I did not have hot water. Apt. Made for today. This Motor quite late evening ..already had the apt. So why would I call. Just an excuse. Very unsatisfactory care. Will likely be looking for another company after being with reliance for Year and years

Lifetime contract and constant price increases

I'm very disappointed in reliance. Firstly, when I first entered into the contract, I wasn't told that this would be a lifetime contract and that I'd have to pay over $1000 in penalty to break it. Of course, when I called they pointed to the fine print in the contract that i signed that it was all listed. This is my fault. However, the past two years, they have increased the water heater rental by approximately $5 per month. It's nice that in the letter they send to us, it only says that the price has changed but when you compare it to the previous month, it's obvious the price has increased. They are certainly talented writers.

    Appointment Wait Time

I was disappointed that the soonest they could make an appointment for a leaking shower drain was 1 week. This shower was not usable until repairs were made. Too long in my opinion for a plumbing issue. I called them because I had the protection plan. Probably not worth it.

    Furnace cleaning and chekc

Darryl was upfront about the price, what he will do, what we would get out of it. He cleaned and checked our furnace and explained things well. He answered all of our questions.
