We got swindled into taking over leased equipment from Reliance (furnace and A/C) as our realtor missed it in the contract when we purchased the home. Other than the unwanted payments, it was fine while we owned the home. The problems started when we sold the house. We had to pay out exorbitant fees to buy out the equipment upon the sale of the home, which was painful but expected. What wasnt expected was for Reliance to keep no record of the equipment buy out. This was all dealt with through our lawyer handling the sale, yet it took 6 months of battling, and days worth of phone calls and multiple letters from the lawyers with pay out statements in order for our account to finally be cleared. In the meantime, our credit was dinged over their error. The house sold almost a year ago and were STILL being billed for the water tank rental for a 3 month period AFTER the house sold. Again, countless phone calls were required to clear it up. So we thought! We just got a phone call today from COLLECTIONS for an outstanding balance that accrued when we no longer owned the home. Its yet to be resolved so the battle continues. Reliance is an absolute NIGHTMARE! Be warned!
