AC stopped working on Saturday. I bought it from Sears and Reliance has taken over the warranties for them. Called Reliance at 8 am and they said someone would be over between 10-2. 2 pm comes, no one has showed up.
Call Reliance again, they said they will contact their tech and make sure he attends.
Called Reliance at 5pm and told them no one has shown up. Reliance said they'll contact their tech and to call them back at 6:30 if no one shows up.
6:30 comes and goes and no one shows up. Call Reliance again, they accidentally (?) hang up on me after waiting on the phone for 20 minutes. Call them back, they said someone might show up by 8:30 pm but he had another job before me. How is there another job before me? I called at 8:30 am and Reliance said I had an appointment for 10-2. 8:30 comes and goes and nothing.
So I call Reliance again at 9:30 and ask them what went wrong. Why did no one come even though I called more than 12 hours ago and you promised someone would show up multiple times. The Reliance lady said her computer system froze and that she would need to call me back. She never calls me back after I waited more then 20 minutes on call waiting.
I was never once rude to Reliance operators through this increasingly shoddy service. Why tell me someone will come when no one does? My family wasted our whole day waiting for Reliance to come with nothing to show for it. The Reliance front line people tell me things (e.g. we'll call you back, someone will show up) and never deliver.
I can only think that as a Sears warranty person we kept getting bumped back in the queue. Well, I'm also a Reliance water heater customer and used Reliance to repair my furnace and previous AC. After this experience I'm resolving to remove the Reliance water heater by the end of the year and will tell people far and wide to stay away from this terrible service.
