Mario came out this morning to find a leak, after another repair person was out on Friday. Mario was professional, courteous and incredibly helpful. He found that there was a very small leak on the outside of the unit, filled a very small amount of refrigerant, and made sure that it was cooling the house down before he left. He suggested that since I am not on a contract, that I have a new unit installed and continue to rent. He took the time to find out what my needs were, and was able to provide solutions that would fit what I needed. He made several calls on my behalf to make sure it could be done quickly. He went out of his way to make sure I was getting the best service.
I was disappointed with the service call I had on Friday afternoon. The gentleman was friendly, but did not do much, or make any suggestions. He told me that the refrigerant was entirely gone (he told me that was based on him touching the two pipes. One was supposed to be hot and one was supposed to be cool and the cool one was hotter than the hot one), and that meant there was a leak and it was probably somewhere in the walls and we would have to open up the walls to find the leak. That worried me and he said that it was a problem with the way my home was built and offered no remedies. That's when he put in the call or a leak investigation for today.
