    Hot water tank

    Great service, Tec Josh Wynne was extremely pleasant, corrected our problem quickly. In addition, he took the time to explain and answer several questions we had on our furnace, water heater and other items. We are thinking of replacing our furnace and switching our current plan to reliance. Thanks Josh.h

    fix my brand new boiler

    joe green was very helpful and he fixed the boiler and made it run better then before.next time I need a service call im going to ask for joe green, he was great.

    new furnace install

    On Wed Jan 27 my old furnace was replaced with a new one by Mike Goosney and Luciano Lavoie. These guys arrived early {nice surprise} worked fast, were friendly and courteous, very professional, explained all to me and cleaned up perfectly. Thanks Mike and Luciano. Would highly recommend Reliance.

    Furnace replacement

    I had my furnace and humidifier replaced by Matt A and Adam J. The installation went smooth. They called me to let me know that they were going to be a bit delayed. They worked well , were courteous and willing to answer any questions I had. The job was done in a clean and timely manner. Full marks to them. The only complain I would have is that the furnace quoted was a bit expensive compared to other quotes received for the same unit from other competitors. So people should do their research.

    Furnace

    Our furnace had some problem so we called Relianca home comfort on 18/01/2016. Mark arranged for the same day service. I was quite happy with their service . Derek was very knowledgeable and professional. He explained everything to us and did not try to sell or do anything unnecessary . He also checked every thing to find out if everything is working properly. I highly recommend Reliance home comfort for any type of furnace work.

    No Heat in winter is nightmare

    First home-just 3-months - bought used home of just 5-year old - no heat in winter- no support contract to avoid cost- resulting in uncomfortable and uncomfortable family- online service booked for support for specific time to Reliance home comfort- Stephan called and came in time as savior- identified issue due to motor failure and fixed the problem - brought back smile to family. That is what I want. Thank you Stephan and Thank you Reliance.

    Hot Water Tank Controller replacement

    My story has two parts. First, the individual service/installation people. I never had any problem with their professionalism. Otto Kanouni, Water Heater Installer, came the other day after I had water heater tank problems. He identified the problem, a faulty controller, within seconds and had it replaced within 15 minutes. No problem, and great job! The second part, the company itself, is a different story. I’ve read a couple of reviews on this site and in 2009 Googled them and came to this conclusion: this company is in it to make big bucks, and they are unscrupulous about it. That is what people need to understand. The hot water tank and furnace business is big and very profitable business, just like insurance. You do get service, or a product yes, but you pay dearly for it. In my contract, not sure if it is still the same, there was no reference to any level of commitment on the part of Reliance in terms of response time, problem resolution, etc. This is my story with them from five years ago when my tank was 6 years old and burst open. I called the problem in on a Thursday afternoon. By Friday 1 pm after numerous phone messages about when if ever they are going to come and replace my tank I left them a message (again) to say that I am going to install my own tank and not to bother coming. I had my first hot shower in 4 days at 1 AM the Saturday morning using my own tank. On Monday the person at Reliance laughed in my face over the phone when I told him I want to cancel my contract. I had to remove my new state of the art water tank and sell it as used, and accept their hot water tank that “should last a minimum of 16 years” I was told (but already had issues twice in five years). Reliance does offer a service, and if you are lucky, like I have been so far, you get good people coming to service you if you need it. But everything else is on their terms, including response time, and trying to get away from them. My advice to prospective clients: If you have NO other choice, such as a single mother, elderly people, young people with small kids, etc., or if you cannot afford the upfront costs, then yes, do contract with Reliance. But know that you are hooked for many years, you cannot get rid of them, and you should not assume effective, efficient and timely service. If you have a choice at all, do not contract, but have a backup plan like a savings account to cover repair or service costs when you need it.

    Great Service

    We called Reliance to check our non-functioning electronic air cleaner. The service rep came out and determined that we needed a new filter. There were expensive options available and we went with the cheapest one. The service tech came out to install it and realized we would be fine with a lower cost specialized filter instead. Vahid did an excellent job explaining and fixing our problem while ensuring our new filter would work well with our existing furnace. Thank-you Vahid for your honest opinion and your help in solving our filter problem.

    Boiler problem

    We had Andre Dyer Coke to us with respect and help, he fixed our problem and also found another problem we had no idea about, he had amazing service best one I've had yet and will always call him if needed he is great and very respected thank you Reliance home comfort and most of all Andre Dyer

    Hot Water Tank Repair

    I called to report our water heater failure at 10.oo am and it was fixed by 4.00 pm. Excellent Service. The first serviceman that came did not have the replacement part but passed it on to a colleague (Kyle CBA/650) who had the part and completed the job.
