    Home furnace was not working

    This company I am guessing is overworked. They sent a third party contractor who obviously didn't know or didn't care about the problem he was hired to fix. He claimed a part was needed ,, didn't return Reliance's calls, didnt return mine, finally three days later they canceled his contract, after i bought heaters for my house, and then refused to let me talk to a supervisor, said i was going to get a call back in two hours,, never did. Went with a professional company.

    AC, Furnace, Water Tank

    The sale's guy was Hamid K. Charles and his crew were able to finish this job in only 2 days. Everything was cleaned up after the job was done, it was finished nicely, and they did a good job.

    furnace and air conditioning install

    Hired Reliance to install furnace and air, unfortunately the job was sub contracted and the install was poorly done. First, we were told 1 or 2 days to complete and after a week and a half it was not finished. Installer did not explain function of furnace and did not even test the air because he never hooked it up to the panel. The owner was not happy with his guys that installed the furnace and told us so, but did not fix any of the items he pointed out. the pipes running out of the house were not installed the same; one is on an angle the other straight (this was one of the complaints by the owner who said he would correct but didn't). The holes for the pipes were poorly cut and caulked; there are sharp edges from the siding and holes in the caulking, which should have been white to at least make it look better. We have had to take more days off work (with no pay) to have this dealt with so far and will need to take more days to have the install corrected. We were so worried about the install we had to have a tech come back just to make sure it was working correctly. We have been assured that all the corrections will be made to our satisfaction in the near future, for that we are thankful.

    furnace inspection/tune-up

    Mike called 10 minutes ahead of his arrival. He was professional and knowledgeable when asked questions about furnace and air conditioner maintenance. I would purchase this tune-up service from Reliance again if Mike is any indication of how this company operates.

    inspection

    Reliance has bad customer service and do not follow through with appointment times. We told them to come after 2 and they came at 1, then they just show up Unannounced at 7:10 PM and does a 5 or 10 minute check and the inspection was completed and I was asked to sign off. ...a bit hesitate I signed ..The person noted there is nothing to inspect as the unit is 3 years old .

    Furnace and Airconditioner installation

    Our installation was booked for Labour Day in September at the request of our salesperson. The installation, which was to be done in one day, was not fully "completed" until the Thursday of that same week. Part of the issue was that being a holiday, the sheet metal fitter was not able to stay the whole day. Labour Day was an unusually hot day, and when the service people left, the air conditioning was not yet working. As the air conditioning had been turned off for most of the day, it was most uncomfortable in the home. I asked the service person, who was trying everything to get the thermostat to communicate with the air conditioner, if we could book ourselves into a hotel for the night, at the expense of the company? He agreed. I later spoke with the manager of the contracting firm, and said that we would like to take advantage of his employee's offer since the air was not working as promised, and the house was quite warm. He was said that his employee did not have the authority to make such an offer--and my reply was that it was too late, his employee, as a representative of his company, had given us authority to do that. I had to remind him that his employee may not have the authority, but legally, the offer was made and there was little he could do to reverse that now. To remedy the situation, the manager came to our house himself and was able to get the equipment working. On Tuesday of that week, someone came to finish the job (sheet metal) but a part was missing, so we had to wait until that part came in. That did not occur until Thursday. When all was completed, I found a large sheet of sheet metal in another room, and notified Reliance and asked that someone come to pick it up. I heard nothing and eventually had to dispose of it myself. Annoying to say the least. Within the few weeks, we noticed a disturbing rattle when the furnace started, called Reliance and they have since replaced a motor. The service person has brought something rather disturbing to our attention however. The original installation was not completed properly. There is more work to be done to make the installation proper and complete. It was requires more sheet metal. We are now awaiting another call from a sheet metal contractor to finish the job properly. Here is what I am asking for: Please do not use the original contractor, they cannot be trusted and we do not wish to deal with them again. Their work was nothing short of shoddy. Please review our account and in light of the ongoing problems, please make us some sort of reasonable financial offer to compensate us for these issues and inconvenience we have suffered. Thank you.

    leaking humidifier

    Excellent service. The person I spoke to on the phone was very accommodating in trying ti=o find a time that suited me and the technician that came to fix the problem took the time to explain what was going on. Courteous and efficient.

    furnace and ac purchase and installation

    Had furnace and a/c purchased and installed through Reliance. The experience with the sales rep was somewhat akin to dealing with an old car salesman (a lot of "let me talk to my boss"), but the installation was, overall, a good experience. The two installers were pleasant, courteous, and efficient and a mistake in the installation process was fixed promptly.

    New Furnace and AC Unit

    A big thank you to Jeff from Reliance and the guys that did the install. Service was excellent and very professional! We are so happy and will definitely recommend Jeff to all of our family and friends!

    Hot water tank replacement

    Great service. The Tech was professional and quick. (Wes. C RCH2380 was written on the card) From the moment I've reported no hot water to the tank replacement, the service was great. There was only a glitch with the replacement appointment, but it was resolved. Thank you for quickly resolving my issue.
