    AC and furnace replacement

    Reliance installed a brand new furnace and AC unit early this spring. AC quit on July 18th so finally called it in on Monday the 25th. They arranged for an outside contractor to come take a look in the evening. Pretty good so far! Monday; the guy shows up late but apologizes, says he's extremely busy with the heat wave and he's falling behind, it's understandable. After 15 minutes declares that there's no Freon in the system puts nitrogen in to find the leak and promises to come back the next day to finish up. Tuesday: No show. At least he answers the phone. Apologizes again and promises to come on Wednesday. Wednesday. Finally shows up at 4:00pm (I took a full day off work btw to accommodate him) Charges the AC with Freon, fiddles around inside the furnace and declares the whole thing fixed. Says it might take a few hours for the temperature to normalize and leaves around 5:00pm. Thursday, Wake up at 6:00 am, Still over 30 inside the house with the AC and furnace fans blasting away and padding my hydro bill nicely. Text message to the contractor, his reply is; A new A coil is needed and they'll be in touch. So I call Reliance again and they are completely unaware of the whole situation (only have record of the original Monday appointment). All they can suggest is to make another appointment for Friday. P.S. After I left this review things finally come into motion (hence the revised score from 0 to 3 and review edit). Somehow we ended up with THREE appointments with THREE different crews trying to come over and fix the AC. I know that because three different guys called throughout the day trying to schedule a repair time slot with us. Luckily the first one in was able to fix the problem (a faulty A coil was replaced) so I cancelled the other two. I just wish it could've been done without all this BS.

    AC Installation

    All 3 installers, Luciano, Markus and Bruce were efficient and friendly. They did an excellent job in installation and explaining. The work was done within schedule. The salaes person Sasa did a good job in explaining various options. Thank you. Pankaj Dave

    Furnace/Water Heater

    I wrote a good review of Reliance back on January 3rd, they stepped up when we had no hot water or heat back in December. As it was out 4 days, I was promised a 'mixer' for my water tank and three months free by the technician. As it was out for a while we spent a night at a hotel, figuring the free months would offset the cost. However, despite several emails to the technician and more than 3 months later, no mixer and surprise, when my bill came, no three free months. This was very disappointing and I expected Reliance to honour their promises, guess you can't trust what they say.

    New furnace and air conditioner

    Our adviser, John Bielas, was very helpful with the decision to rent a new furnace and air conditioner. The work was completed the next day in a very professional manner.

    Air Conditioning

    Beyond frustrated with Reliance Home Comfort - never use them!!! Summary of my issues below: Last June – Reliance came – told me I could get central air, which is what I wanted. Technician came back start of July – told us due to the furnace location in a tight space in the basement, and they would have to drill through foundation, we would have to get a wall unit at a higher price – disappointed but proceeded. Issue#1: Unit wasn’t cooling. Called Reliance – customer service told me I would be charged, which was ridiculous on a new unit! Elevated to manager. Serviced and said they would have to be back for a leak Call#2 – came back and topped the Freon – said if it didn’t hold, Freon would be leaking and they would have to come back Call#3 – the unit was making a loud grinding sound – video attached. Called and scheduled repair – technician didn’t have a ladder – reschedule Call#4 – repair of loud grinding noise & topped up Freon – the Customer Service agent told me I would have to pay for the repair again, which I refused. Call #5 – unit not cooling again – called for repair. Call #6 – Technician didn’t show up! Call #7 – topped up Freon Call#8 – unit not cooling again! Technician took a reading – unit was set at 62F and temperature reading right at the fan was 72F. Said we would have to get a senior technician to recommend a replace. Call#9 – technician cancelled Call#10 - 2technicians – saying they will top it up again Call#11 - unit replaced. Within first week excessive leaking Today - 1 technician showed and noted unit wasn't level and would have to send 2 people - scheduled Friday Reliance has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had!!!! Ever!

    AIR CONDITIONER

    I am very unsatisfied with this RELIANCE they have terrible customer service and do not stand by there promises. My BRAND NEW air conditioner was broken with 2months and RELIANCE took forever and 4 different service guys to even determine what was wrong. AWFUL service and I would never recommend this company to anyone.

    FURNACE AND AIR

    Excellent service. John Bielas was most helpful. Contractors were efficient and cleaned up beautifully. System is operating well. Cools efficiently and we hope to save on electricity and gas. We would deal with this group again.

    Air Conditioner repair

    On one of the hottest days this summer our air conditioning unit broke down. We made the call to Reliance Home Comfort and were expecting a long wait for a service call, but the technician was here within just a couple of hours. He quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced the part (lucky for us he had 1 left on the truck) and had it running within minutes. Thanks Mathew F for the prompt, friendly service, and because we purchased the maintenance plan previously, his words 'No charge' were just as sweet to hear as the sound of the unit starting up again. Thanks Reliance!

    John Bielas was are home comfort advisor he was great he answered all are question and concerns. the system was installed within two days the people that installed it were very professional and did a great job

    Air conditioner

    I would like to thank Paul w for his excellent professionalism. Aswell as his mechanical ability I have never met an installer so good at his job untill now. I think reliance should give this man a promotion to head trainer to over see the other installers.
