    Furnace update

    The job was very well done by Mostafa from Airleaders company. The instructions were clear, and well explained. I completely understood the concepts. The job was neatly done, with great efficiency. The attitude they had towards the job and the customer, being me, was quite positive, and uplifting.

    Water heater

    Thank you to Darren Carlin for the quick response. He fixed the problem ,explained what happened and responded in less than an hour of my call. Awesome service! I would definitely recommend reliance to anyone.

    Water tank service

    About 3 weeks ago our Reliance rented water tank failed to produce hot water so I called Reliance for service. Over the 3 weeks the tank, only 5 years old failed 4 times in those 3 weeks necessitating 5 visits by Reliance to fix. This is a mixed-feelings review; While all the service visits and communications with customer service over the phone were friendly and prompt, there was a disturbingly poor of communication between their own people. The first serviceman came and said that Reliance did not install the tank properly to begin with. It faced inward to the partition wall so that it was impossible to properly replace any parts until the tank can be turned. He put in a report and took photos and while he temporarily restored hot water he said and installer would come to turn the tank. After a day the hot water went off again. The installer came but said it was not necessary to turn the tank and he can fix it as is. 3 days later the hot water went off again, the installer fellow came again and restarted it and said it was fine. 2 days later the hot water went off again! The original serviceman came and could not believe the tank was not turned and again he temporarily restarted it and again he put in a report to get the tank turned so it can be repaired properly. He said Reliance would be calling to set up the appointment, but they never did. The hot water went off again after a few days. I called Reliance and made it clear that the serviceman said the tank needs to be re-installed and the person on the phone said she had made note of the situation and would give detailed instructions to the installer. But when the servicemen came he had no such special instructions. He also showed me additional problems with the original installation, but since he was not scheduled to do a re-install of the tank he would need to come back. This servicemen was by far the most informative and conscientious of the 3 people who came, he also personally set up the appointment to have it done properly. His name is Josh Wynne and he gets top marks for his diligence. He came back and spent 3.5 hours to re-install the tank. So while the Reliance people were friendly and appointments were promptly attended to I was very unhappy with the number of times it took to get it done right and the lack of proper instructions given to their field personnel. Also I am not happy that the tank wasn't properly installed to begin with.

    Furnace update

    Rick explained how my new rented furnace humidifier worked as well as it's interaction with my HRV system - very clear & helpful as equipment has changed over time and I am on my own.

    furnace

    During the first week of December 2014 we found it necessary to replace our gas fired forced air furnace. This has become a major purchase. We contact several heating contractors including Reliance. Their Sales Rep Reinaldo came to our house and professional explained all of our options as a result we chose Reliance to install our new furnace. I would definitely recommend Reinaldo to any of my friends who are contemplating buy a new furnace. He also guided us through the procedure to secure significant rebates which greatly reduced the cost of the installation. The installers were very skilled and did an excellent job of installation.

    furnace, airconditioning and tankless water heater

    Murray was extremely helpful in our coming to a decision. He assisted us in identifying rebate programs and their eligibility. The people who installed the products were extremely professional. The installation was quickly done, good explanations were given on the use of the equipment and they were very respectful of our home. Job well done.

    Furnace repair

    My furnace would not fire up. The technician John was great. He came as schedualed. He diagnosed the furnace problem and made the necessary repairs Under warranty. My issue is with Reliance. I called @ 7am and they made the appt between 9 & 11 pm. The tech determined the furnace had not been registered at the time of purchase (sept 2010). Also, the Reliance telephone operator offered me a service plan at 14.99/ mth. It turns out I had a 10 year, parts and labour warranty on the furnace. John had the plan changed to a maintenance plan @ 9$ per month. John the tech was great, the telephone operator, not so great.

    Service on furnace

    Service was fast and efficient. Informed us of potential future problems. Very knowledgeable when asked questions. Totally professional and personable. Would not hesitate to call again if services were required. Thanks guys.

    Furnace Replacement

    Just wanted to thank Mark Botelho and his team for a very professional job of furnace replacement. They indeed exceeded my expectation. My old furnace broke in the evening of March 4 and we were up and running within 24 hours due to a very prompt and professional service.
