I bought a property which had 2 rental unit heaters from Reliance Home Comfort installed in it. Reliance created 2 accounts, and therfore 2 setup fees to start. Then when I received the first bill, I called them to buy the 2 unit heaters, they gave me a price and told me to expect the bill for these units in the mail. 4 months later, they sent me a bill for rental of the unit heaters for the 4 months plus didn't even start the process of me buying the units. Now I'll be paying over $1000 in rental fees (plus still have to puchase the heaters), that I've never used and that don't work.
As an added bonus, Union Gas inspected my house and refused to fire up one of the unit heaters, because it was unsafe.
On top of that the customer service is horrible. I've only talked to them twice on the phone and the first time they didn't process the purchase of the units, as I requested. The second time, they entered the inspection date wrong and accused me of not requesting the purchase of the heaters..
The inspector was helpful and told me the heaters weren't even serviceable, plus the units I rented had known issues with the heat exchanger.
NEVER purchase or rent equipment from Reliance Home Comfort in Sudbury.
