We called for several quotes from various companies, and as expected, got various estimates. We had seen some of the work in the area done by the Abraxis team, and the workmanship looked good. We met with the team, and decided to go with Raphael and team. Despite the extremely wet June, they were able to start and complete the job with a week, and within the expected delivery timelines. Chris, who was going the onsite work, provided updates each day, and pointed out any items which he came across. Excellent communication, and no surprises that way. The prep work was excellent, with sanding/caulking done prior to all the exterior being primed, and then two coats of high quality paint. The garage door was also done, and again, all loose paint was removed and cleaned up, and the side entrance door (which was in poor shape), was given extra attention, and not just cleaned up and primed, but also filled with filler to even it out, prior to another primer being applied and two coats of paint. Looks great. Overall, the work was done on time, no surprises, and exactly on budget, despite the team doing a couple of extra items to ensure the quality was there! A post walkthrough was also done, which was appreciated. We would recommend Abraxis, and we will definitely be calling them for our future interior work. Thanks guys!!

Called Public Plumbing for an estimate on a leak between the first and second floor of our house. It was in a difficult position, so drywall removal and more would be required to do the fix. We had 3 estimates in total, and all were similar, so we went with Public Plumbing based on the detailed inspection and review that Phil from Public Plumbing provided. Phil showed up on time the day the work was done, and he found the problem as expected, and corrected it, with minimal removal of drywall or ceiling or floor damage. Thanks! The fix was done, with thorough testing to make sure there were no other leaks. Phil walked us through what he did, and the parts that needed to be replaced. Both upstairs and main level were left cleaner than when he started! Great work, and very knowledgeable! Really appreciate the great job, and will definitely call Public again for any future work! Great job by Geoff and his team of installers. From design, to material selection to installation, all was handled professionally and always on time. We were the one of the first clients for 2014, and as soon as the snow was gone and the ground was ready, the team was onsite, tearing down the old deck, and starting the process. The look was exactly what we expected, and the material suggested looks great and limited upkeep needed! Any questions answered immediately, payment as things were completed (not all in advance), and the completed deck looks great! The other item to note was the cleanup of the old deck and all the remaining items was great...nothing left behind, a great ending to a great installation! Thanks Geoff and all involved!

Having discovered a raccoon had eaten through one of our pipe flashing and with rain in the forecast, we needed a repair done immediately, or we would be looking at damage to the kitchen ceiling. We did some research for roof repair companies, and called Brad from Roofrepair.ca, as he had some excellent reviews online. It was a Saturday, and a long weekend, and much to our surprise, he answered directly, and was able to come out that morning. Brad did a great job, removing the old damaged flashing, and clearing and cleaning the area and inspecting it thoroughly before putting the new flashing in place. He also did a quick check around the area for any other damage, and none was found. Brad did mention that there were a few loose bricks on the chimney as well, and we should keep an eye on them over the winter. Nice added touch of advice which we appreciated. Great job, with excellent timing and the cost was reasonable and as quoted.

We wanted to get our original 1970s style kitchen into the new century, and after meeting with several companies, decided on Kitchen Designers Plus, and their Oakville location. We based this on face to face meetings, along with other reviews we read, and an overall sense we got from meeting with Kelly. Kelly walked us through all the design options, from overall look/design, options for cupboards, backsplash, lighting, floor, countertop, electrics and all the extras available. No pressure tactics used, we were presented with the options and made the decisions on a step by step basis, using Kelly's design expertise to assist. The install started on the day it was scheduled, and work was completed on schedule, no delays, and no budget over run. We were impressed with that, having had others tell us of renovation horror stories! We were provided updates by Kelly and project manager Joe on a regular basis, and felt comfortable in discussing any issues or concerns we had with them. At the final review, we did notice a cracked tile in the backsplash, somewhat hidden, but as we did see it, the team took the time to remove the tile, take a new tile offsite to drill and replaced it (glass tiles can be tricky when drilling). They ensured we were completely satisfied with the work, and we felt like we were fully supported by the entire team (installers, electricians, plumbers and the management team). Great team to work with, and we are completely satisfied with the results, and again, the people on the project were exceptional!
