Soni’s team of workers came in and removed the popcorn ceiling from our living room, which was no easy feat as our century home had thick uneven stucco, which did not want to come off. They then primed and painted. Soni’s colleague even installed 8 new pot lights in our ceiling. The end result was just fabulous! We were very impressed with the transformation. What I appreciate most about Soni is he is a hard worker and will go the extra mile to get the job done right. Thanks Soni & Team for bringing our home into the 21st century!

I had a very positive experience working with NVG Renovations to remodel our dated powder room. Greg and his team were quick to respond to my inquiry, and based on the positive Homestars reviews, and his reasonable quote, it was a no-brainer. I especially appreciate how they were able to fit us in, and even completed the project ahead of schedule. The project involved demo’ing the old bathroom, and installing new floor tiles, toilet, mounted sink, light, plus new bathroom door + hardware. Greg did a wonderful job on the floor tiles and he’s also an expert painter and did a fabulous job painting the walls and trim. I can be somewhat nit-picky with small details, but Greg was very accommodating and attentive to my concerns and fully delivered on all my requests. I felt comfortable with them in the house as they were very professional and considerate, and you can tell they have a very good work ethic and were mindful of keeping the place clean. We can’t believe how great our small bathroom turned out, it has been completely transformed from a tired 1970’s look, to a luxurious and modern bathroom, right out of a magazine! After having my basement completely gutted last fall, I searched HomeStars for a contractor to rebuild it starting with the laundry room. It was a relatively small job, and the majority of contractors I contacted would not return my call or offer me a quote. However, Hidri Contracting came to the rescue, and foreman Ylber came by the house to take a look and offer some suggestions. His right-hand man Lawrence, a highly-skilled carpenter, did an EXCELLENT job framing + drywalling, and Ylber is an expert tile installer. I am very picky and must say I was pleased on all fronts with the work and their ability to go the extra mile at my request. Things turned out so well that I decided to have them back this spring to completely finish the rest of the basement: framing, insulating, drywalling, tape/mudding + priming, then rebuilding the bathroom: installing new tile, new toilet + vanity. Bought a house with stucco ceilings so decided to contact Ceiling Stucco Removal Inc based on the favourable ratings. Louie was kind to come by and give a quote for removing stucco from my basement, and I booked right away. Mike, the worker who did our ceiling, was highly skilled at his trade and did a FANTASTIC job at fixing our ceiling. It's amazing how bright and spacious the basement now looks! I am looking forward to having them back in the fall to transform our ceilings on the main and 2nd floor. Thanks guys!!

I am increasing my star rating after speaking with our rep from Consumer’s Choice who was quick to reach out and rectify the situation. We were initially dissatisfied after having waited longer than expected for our patio door install. However there was a miscommunication with our phone number, which caused a longer than usual delay as the company could not get in touch with us, followed by rain on our install day, plus a packaging error made by the supplier (not Consumer Choice’s fault) With all things considered, they did the best they could, given the unfortunate circumstances. After speaking with our rep Jason, I could tell this company took our concerns very seriously and wanted above all else to make the situation right. With this level of customer service, I would feel confident considering Consumer’s Choice again for my next installation project. The patio door we ordered looks and works great. We’re very happy with the product, and the installers were great too. My only advice would be to perhaps also take down clients’ emails as an alternate way to get in touch!

I recently purchased a house with a finished basement - only to discover it was filled with mould. I quickly searched on HomeStars and based on the reviews called Robert from Templar who was quick to respond and schedule an appointment for the next day. I will also say I tried calling another well-known larger company, who came out and gave me a jaw-dropping, astronomical quote. They clearly did not want my business or thought my job was too small to be bothered. Templar on the other hand provided me a quote that seemed very fair, and I could tell they were actually interested in helping me. Project manager David was also helpful, making sure to ask if I had any questions or concerns along the way, which I found very reassuring. Their crew arrived on time each day and were polite (especially Max), hard working, and got the job done on schedule. Even my neighbour commented how impressed she was with how well organized and neatly they stacked materials at the curb while waiting for the garbage bin to arrive. They even went the extra mile and chipped out the bathroom tile at my request. I would definitely give them my business again and recommend them to anyone. Thanks Robert + team for a job well done!

I needed someone in a pinch to come remove a laundry tub before starting another reno project. I called Sam based on his favourable reviews on HomeStars. Within a few hours of calling, he was over at the house ready to help. I can say he is a very hard worker, got the job done right, and worked quickly and efficiently. While he was here I also got him to dismantle some cabinets in the laundry room, which he handled effortlessly. His calm demeanour was also appreciated. I found his price very reasonable and I will be calling him again for any plumbing or electrical work. Thank you for the great service, Sam!
