    Furnace & Aircondition

    I am extremely happy with a job well done by Shipton's installers. Very professional from start to finish. Details were explained in laymen's language. It was a pleasant experience. Shipton's have reason to be a proud family owned business.

    Regular furnace and a/c service

    Shipton's has been our supplier of services relating to heating and cooling for over thirty years. We had them install one of the earlier high efficiency furnaces and it turned out to be a nightmare. However the staff and management at Shipton's stood behind the product and responded to our every crisis until we were satisfied with the units reliability. During the many service calls that were involved we became part of the "Shipton family" and were on a first name basis with most of the staff. The kind of support we received earned our loyalty to this company. We have since had a new furnace and a/c unit installed and were very satisfied with the cost and expertise of both installations. More recently our regular service was done by John Liddle who is one of the new technicians. John was not only thorough and helpful but also typical of the personable staff we have come to expect at Shiptons. We followed up ur regular service with the first duct cleaning our home has ever had - it was a challenging job! Patrick went to extra effort to deal with 60 years of dust and debris and did an excellent job at a competitive price. In a world increasingly dominated with faceless mega companies it's a good feeling to deal with a family owned company that still believes that personal relationships are important. I highly recommend this company to any consumer looking for products and service in heating and ventilating business.

    A/C and Air Ducts

    We had Shipton's give us a price for a new A/C unit, ours was over 20 years old. From Scott in sales, Jake and Justin installing the A/C unit and Patrick cleaning the air ducts, everything went smooth. Arrived on time, were respectful of our property, did a thorough clean up. In Patrick's case, our ducts had never been cleaned and the house is over 30 years old. He was here for over 5 hours, taking before, during and after pictures...he did a tremendous job and treated our house as if it were his own. Price isn't everything, putting the customer first goes a very long way. Thanks to all for the great work!

    Water Heater

    I contacted 3 firms to get estimates on water heater installation, and selected Shipton's. They told me it would be installed in four hours, and it was installed in less than two. The two gentlemen who installed it were professional, thorough and prompt, and their clean-up was excellent. The entire buying and installation process through Shipton's was extraordinary! I would not hesitate to recommend them.

    Converting oil to gas heat

    I recently converted my house to gas heat from oil. I used Shipton's on a recommendation from a good friend of mine and it was a great decision. The entire process was very smooth thanks to Dave Williams. I can't say enough about his knowledge and how professional he was throughout the entire process. The insatlers were fantastic! They removed my oil tank, cleaned all my ducts and replaced the furnace and water heater in less than 8 hours! I wish to thank everyone involved for a job very well done. This company was amazing and I would highly suggest you talk to them if you are thinking about changing anything with your HVAC system. Thank you again for making this process so smooth and stress free! You people are good!

    New Furnace Installation

    I had a 17 year old furnace in a rental property that I own that needed $1,100 in repairs.Rather than repair it and take the chance that other things would go wrong, I decided to replace it. Shipton's identified that the present furnace was over sized for the property. They gave me several options to consider at competitive prices.They even went further and offered me a (new) scratch & dent model that was damaged in transit for even less ! The installation team of Andrew & John, showed up when they were scheduled and were courteous and professional. I now have a new, reliable,efficient furnace that will give me piece of mind and my tenants lower energy bills.Thank you Scott & Dave Shipton for your prompt professional service. I will recommend your company to other friends & family

    Replacing an oil fired furnace and water heater. with top of the line high efficiency units. Installing high efficiency, very quiet, central air.

    The best decision we made regarding our house was to replace the oil fired furnace and water heater with very high efficiency gas powered units. At the same time, we also had high efficiency central air installed. We asked for estimates from three other companies but found Shiptons competitive and, moreover, they knew what we were looking for. This was quite a big project but it was carried out with a minimum of fuss and finished with a good cleanup. One thing that particularly impressed me was the installation of the new thermostat. The simplest, most convenient, solution for them would have been to simply replace the old one or put the new one in the hall. It was decided that neither position was suitable and that instead, it should be installed in the living room. And so, ignoring the easy option, the installers spent a couple of hours threading wires up inside the living room wall of our old house and placed the thermostat in the best location. As I said, it was a fairly big job made more difficult by the age of the home and it was completed very much to our satisfaction. With regard to follow up service, I have complete confidence in Peter's annual inspections and adjustments. We have always found Wendy helpful and obliging when arranging the annual inspection.

    Furnace Service

    I would like to praise Shipton's on the excellent service I received recently. I called in for a service call and was told it would be the same day. Other companies that I called told me it would be 2-3 days which is not what you want to hear when it is getting colder in your house. When I called Shiptons, I was greeted by a pleasant voice on the phone who explained the service rates and assured me that a service technician was on his way. True to word the service man arrived and fixed my furnace. I would not hesitate to recommend Shipton's to my family & friends. Thank you again for your wonderful service.

    Service call to a boiler in my rental property

    I have relied on Shipton's to help me out whenever a furnace in one of my rental properties breaks down. They ALWAYS make sure that the job is done as quickly as possible! This is very reassuring to me as a landlord, knowing that I can count on them to get the job done properly. I've been a customer of theirs for 16 years. No reason to think of going anywhere else!!!

    Replacing furnace

    Shipton's didn't install furnace properly on blocks in the basement, didnt install thermostat until two weeks later after numerous calls. Didn't do their due diligence and ask the right questions. They are suppose to be the experts yet it appeared that they took advantage of the situation and our lack of knowledge regarding furnaces & installation. Our old furnace worked fine for years until it got too old. Now the new one isn't working properly due to wrong installation and we have to pay an extra $600 for them to come back and fix it. What was suppose to cost $3800 (they were a few hundred bucks higher than a competitor but we thought they would do a good job) it ended up costing $4500 plus tax. We had no choice but to pay, it was the middle of winter and freezing. For a company that claims they replace a 1000 of furnaces a year in older homes why couldn't they better inform home owners and so they can do it right the first time. Horrible experience with Shipton's, my advice...call around first and find a company that will take the time and do it right the first time.
