    Custom Stair Lift

    Stannah needs to do better. The people they hired to represent them were incompetent by Stannah's own words, after the fact. My parents custom stair lift has had issues from the beginning and as seniors they deserve better treatment than paying out every time an issue comes up, because of the bad job of installation by the people they entrusted their name to. What they should have done was replace everything and do it from scratch. The right way. But instead they big nickel and large dime you for repairs and service calls. Definitely would not refer them to anyone.

    Heartless

    This could be a be a novel but the condensed version is as follows: Purchased lift and recipient (father) passed within a month of ordering. Contract states you must cancel by 3 days of initiation to receive deposit. Otherwise, no matter where the state of the product is in manufacturing or shipping, you lose it all. So instead of checking if it’s been shipped and maybe you can recoup some funds in logistic savings, or partial manufacturing, you are told sorry you missed the 3 day cut off We managed to wrestle 30% from the deposit but only after several uncomfortable conversations with the manager. One would think a company that services those in need of a life altering service they didn’t want but are generally forced to purchase to maintain quality of life, would have compassion? Wouldn’t you? Apparently they provide a wonderful, quality product. I can’t confirm nor deny. Judging from the reviews I’d say they do. But this isnt about the quality of a stairlift, it’s about the clientele that pass prior to receipt of product. It only takes a few moments to check rather than just stamp cancelled order deposit retained. Especially when this is an annual statistic. Unfortunately it gets worse. They asked if we still wanted to buy the entire unit so we wouldn’t lose the deposit. Actually asked the widow when she called to cancel. Hence the subject title. We aren’t getting our deposit in full refunded. But that said, I hope those purchasing a stairlift and have the misfortune of losing a loved one during the process, understand you should ask where it is in the supply chain. The whole point though is you shouldn’t have to. And if anyone has been asked to continue with the purchase, I don’t know what to suggest. We contacted the advocacy group we thought could assist and associated media but received tumbleweeds. So...you write a zero review and hope it helps someone. TL

    It is unfortunate that you have chosen to present half truths in your narrative here however that is your right. As it is clearly listed on our order contracts, all custom curve stairlifts require a 50% deposit. This is secured to cover our costs, manufacturing, materials, staff, etc. The 50% deposit is standard in our industry and throughout the business world when ordering any custom made product I.e. windows, automobiles, etc. Again, we extend our sincere condolences for your loss and hoped our efforts to recoup a portion of your deposit, which you thanked us for via email, were proof of our commitment to our customers.     High quality stairlift from Stannah and very professional service

    Stannah rep Christy was very professional and explained me everything about the installation process during her visits and educated me about the available stairlift options for curved stairlift. Installers Ben and Daniel did a fantastic stairlift installation. Stairlift is made with high quality material and technology and it is very well installed, everything done much better than my expectation. Kudos to the Stannah team!!

    Stair lift

    My husband suffers from Multiple Sclerosis and has a lot of balance issues and stairs are a real challenge for him. He recently had a fall that resulted in him requiring a lot more help. With the help of our amazingly compassionate and informative sales representative Christy we were able to find one that accommodated his needs, our curved staircase and actually blend in with our decor which was huge bonus!!. Our installers Ben and Craig were professional, respectful and knowledgeable and were in and out in a timely fashion. This was a very emotional time for our young family but your amazing team and product made it easier on us....we have recently recommended your product and sales Consultant to a few family members and friends. It was also helpful we were given a payment plan as this was not covered under our benefit plan... 5 stars all around Stannah!!!!

    Siena 260 Straight/Curved Stair Lift

    This review is for the custom design, fabrication, and installation of a Siena 260 stair lift system in January 2022 by Stannah Canada Inc., 25 Valleywood Dr., Markham, Ontario. I initially spoke with Christy, Senior Advisor at Stannah who explained the models and options available, pricing, steps & times from order placement to installation in addition to identifying the March of Dimes program to financially assist qualified individuals with such devices. Her support continued during a stair lift “test drive”, through the stair measurement step, and in dealing with the March of Dimes until complete. Without a doubt, she has been one of the best company contacts I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with. If in need of a stair lift system, I would strongly recommend contacting Christy first. Installation was completed by Craig and Dan both of whom were both; • Vaccinated against Covid, masked, and properly kept their distance • Very personable and a pleasure to deal with • Knowledgeable of their product; installation quality was very high and all questions were adequately answered • Prompt in their arrival and installation efforts which took less time than anticipated • Tidy during their retrieval of parts & tools and during the installation & cleanup • Thoughtful in their demonstrations and explanations of how to use the system Although the stair lift has been in use for less than 1 week, it is obviously very sturdy in its installation & construction (tested by 2 heavy individuals) and very easy to use. Stannah products and service have my vote. Note – I have no connection with Stannah (other than being a satisfied customer)

    Service

    My stairlift broke down on Christmas day, it is blocking my only way to access the rear part of the home. I have abt 2 ft to squeeze by to access the stairs and rear part of the house. NO service available or tech call to help. This morning I called again and was told not to expect any service until the new year and the lady was unable to schedule a call and I was told not to expect one either. This is unacceptable, these lifts are sold to people with mobility issues but if your lift breaks down you are left without a service appointment or repair. Unacceptable. The unit is still under warranty.

    600 sienna Straight Stairlift

    The installers Ben/Daniel were so very courteous and worked so efficiently. There was no mess, everthing was cleaned up. They were such a pleasure to have in my home. The advisor Christy was also wonderful to work with.. She was very informative and answered all questions. I would definitely recommend her and the company.

    260 Sienna Stairlift

    We are well pleased with the installation of the Stairlift. The installers - Ben and Felipe were very professional and courteous, didtheir work with a minimum of disruption and cleaned up carefully when finished. Also, we found Christy, your sales agent to be very helpful and thorough in explaining the features of the Stairlift. The unit works very well and we can appreciate that it will enable us to stay in our home for as long as possible. Norman and Margaret Bell.

    Stair climber installed

    We installed a stair climber so we could remain in our home as we age. Tax incentive this year can be applied.

    Stair chair

    Health reasons required a straight line lift from the lower level to the front door landing . The sales representative arrived promptly, measured the location and gave me a firm price on the spot. After comparing 3 competitive quotes we determined Stannah provided the best product at the most competitive price. The order was placed and the lift was installed less than a week later. It works flawlessly and is just what I need.
