You're absolutely right when you say no one likes plumbing surprises, especially costly plumbing surprises. Even though you can't always predict what you'll find, we try our best to anticipate the possibilities whenever we begin a project. That's why it is so important for homeowners to meet with our staff before the project begins. It gives them an opportunity to ask questions & get answers and also allows them to plan ahead. In most cases we can work around the customers schedule so there is as little inconvenience as possible for the home owner. Torpedoing is a very popular method of replacing piping these days because it eliminates the need to dig vast areas. Since there is less digging there is also less mess.
