    New Air Conditioner

    I had to have waterproofing done on the side of my house that included my air conditioner, which had to be disconnected and moved by an AC professional. After getting several quotes, I selected Belyea Brothers because Joe M. was a true professional. He explained my options and when I was interested in replacing our unit, he helped us select a unit that was the best value. The crew came as promised to remove the old unit, and when the waterproofing was done, they were back the next day to install the new unit. All during our mini-heat wave!

    hot water supply

    Hot water on demand at my new home in The Beach was lukewarm at best, although the home heating side of it worked fine. After spending nine months trying to fix the problem in my system, I called in Belyea Brothers. Zahid located the problem and fixed it. A hot bath at last!

    mini-duct air installation & radiator hookups

    Belyea installed a new mini-duct air conditioning system in our old home (which has radiator heating), as part of a bigger renovation process. Also capped some radiators we removed (and helped move and then re-install others, in order to deal with other projects [flooring installation, etc]). Our contact, Steve, was very professional from begining to end. We never felt stranded in terms of having someone to answer questions for us. Work was completed as scheduled, and clean workspace was maintained.

    Quote to replace part

    Boiler was not working. Called in to request technician. His diagnose: damper had to be replaced, estimated $400. The following morning they call in to quote $1,100, extremely rude, threatened to cut the heating if I did not confirm right away. When I said I would request a second quote, they sent in the technician again. I did not let him in, he did not cut the gas. Requested a second quote: damper was perfectly fine, it was just a loose connection.

    Replace Furnace

    Barry was the consultant working for Belyea Brothers. He was patient and knowledgeable. He explained in detail what was involved in setting up the new furnace. He followed up after the work was done to make sure everything was okay. I'm very happy and satisfied with the job done by Barry.

    Installed Zuba Central air source heat pump

    We believe the Zuba Central heat pump installed in November 2009 is largely responsible for our decreased electricity costs of at least 30%. We also notice the indoor air movement is 'softer' and more moist without a humidifier than with our previous electric furnace. The decision of where to place the outdoor unit is important (as with any air conditioner): It needs to be located where the blowing air does not disturb neighbours (or plants for that matter); Belyea Bros ameliorated the strong 'breeze' by installing a deflector to direct it away from the neighbour's back deck. The installation was handled very efficiently and Joe's prompt returns to deal with the incorrectly programmed thermostat were very much appreciated. Now if Mitsubishi can make the thermostat more user friendly (the instructions are obtuse and steps in programming are many) this heat pump is an excellent choice as an electrical heating & cooling system, and Belyea Bros. have the expertise and experience to install it.

    Home heating and a/c and bedroom a/c unit

    Chris made the whole process simple and easy to understand. We chose the options we wanted and the installation was quick, clean and efficient. We have a small 2 bedroom home with limited upstairs cooling available because of the age of the house. Putting the slim a/c in the bedroom has made a complete difference to our home. Before the installation of the bedroom a/c we would have to set the house cooling so low that the basement where we work and watch TV was almost unusable because of the cold. Now we can set the thermostat much higher and the bedrooms remain cool. Thanks for your help and advice Chris.

    New Heating system

    The whole process went very smoothly, finished ahead of schedule. Everyone helpful, able to explain process and function clearly. Follow-up within 1 week of installation. Worksite cleaned up well. Would recommend highly.

    Installation of York High Efficiency Furnace

    From the initial phone call to the installation of my furnace, contacts were extremely helpful in explaining the features of my new product.
