His work, his character, his price = absolutely amazing. Working with Demetri was a pleasure from beginning to end I cannot say enough about how good an experience it was to hire him.

We hired Demetris to refinish our 80 year old house's original oak floors. The kitchen was in the worst shape and we needed some patching done in our sunroom as we removed an oddly placed bathroom leaving some holes in the floor. He didn't hesitate to patch up other smaller holes found in the floor either! Demetris was very professional and answered our questions about the process, whether it was better to replace or refinish our floors and even suggested a stain that would best match our existing wood trim and doors and worked much better than what I originally wanted. I know now that my original floor stain would have been too dark - thank goodness he took the time to show us the different stains he thought would work best. We're very impressed with the end result - the floors look brand new and really puts the finishing touch on our house. Thank you so much Demetris!

We had unstained oak stairs in our 3-storey (plus finished basement) townhouse and needed them stained to match our pre-finished oak floors. Demetris' quote was not the cheapest, nor was it the most expensive. But this quote covered sanding, staining, and finishing with 3 coats of urethane for the steps, risers, posts and sides. And we have a lot of stairs in the house. He managed our expectations on how closely the colour would match given the differences in the staining process (rubbed-in for the stairs; sprayed on for the floors) and was concerned that the veneer along the sides might not take the stain evenly. That said, he did an excellent job colour matching, and the veneer took the stain perfectly. The stairs look great now. And Demetris even cleaned up our basement and vacuumed the stairs to get rid of fine sawdust so that the finish was flawless.

We had original hardwood floors that have been through a lot of wear and tear and wanted to keep them and get them refinished. Dimitri was able to fullfill what we had hoped for and exceeded our expectations. He was professional, kind and trustworthy giving us an honest and reasonable quote for the work he did. We would definitely recommend him to anyone thinking of fixing their floors and can vouch for his great work.

To deal with Demitris you must be a little patient at the beginning, but his craftsmanship and integrity makes the initial inconvenience more thaan worth your time. One of the best things about dealing with Demitris is that he is everything, the salesman, the estimater and the craftsman. Other companies we have dealt with, the end worker is far removed from the salesperson that made the promises. The downside to this is that Demitris is committed to the job he is doing so it can be difficult to schedule a time for the estimate. We had hardwood refinishing done in another house several years ago and the difference in quality is night and day, and as a matter of fact, Demitris is going to redo our stairs at a very reasonable cost to make our house more marketable. We couldn't be happier with the end result and strongly recommend Dimitris.

Our hard wood floors were beyond repair so we called Demitris for his suggestions and a quote. His recommendations and comments were honest and his quote was very reasonable for the job, even compared to other Home Stars floor specialists. We found Demitris and his crew to be extremely reliable throughout the entire process, which lasted only as long as they said it would, not a day longer. He was clean, friendly, prompt, and most of all he gave excellent trustworthy advice. We are extremely pleased with the final product, and we will be recommending him to our friends and neighbours.

Demetris did an amazing job on my very worn floors - 2 rooms and a hallway. He was honest about the limitations of the job in one area and gave me choices about what to do. He covered doorways and things in closets to limit the mess. He cleaned up after himself very nicely. When his job didn't match one floor I did myself, he offered to refinish the whole room at no extra charge! Said he wanted me to be happy. Communication is professional and excellent. After reviewing Homestars for a contractor to refinish my white oak hardwood & stairs on the main floor of my 1920's home, I selected Demetris and I was not disappointed in any way. We scheduled the work for a time when I would be out of town. I had no hesitation to leave a key with Demetris to perform the work while I was away. The floors were original, with no stain and peeling varathane. Now they are stained in an antique brown and gleaming! It is amazing what a difference the newly finished floors make to the look of the home! Demtris did an awesome job, including fixing some dark water stains from previous owners. All work was completed on time and on budget. He was a pleasure to work with. He helped to move the furniture back into the living & dining room and even fed my cat! I would not hesitate to hire Demetris and will have him back soon to do the second floor.

We are thrilled with how our 40 year old oak floor in the living room and dining room looks after being refinished. The dust, which was less than expected, was contained by closing off the rooms from the rest of the house. The new floor that was installed in the family room looks great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Demetris. He did a great job.

Demetris did a great job refinishing the hardwood floors on the main level of our 44 year old house. Now the floors look brand new. We had thought about new hardwood but Demetris assured us that our old floors were worth refinishing and that saved us lots of money.We were also impressed that Demetris showed up on time and finished the job when he said he would .
