We bought an old house in Lakeshore Village, and knew we had to refinish the hardwood floors before we moved in. We started calling around for quotes a month before we got possession in order to line up all the contractors we needed to coordinate. Even though Demetris voice mail said he was on vacation, I left a message, and he called me back from Greece, the next day to confirm he wanted to provide an estimate. I got 5 estimates and not only was his the most affordable, he was also the only one who offered to remove the old carpeting from the bedrooms, without complaint. Finally, because my timelines were so tight, he agreed to work over the weekend to accomodate all the other work I needed to have done. There were several damaged areas that Demetris warned me may not match up perfectly but when he was done the floors were flawless. The initial work not only far surpassed our expectations, but following the floors, we had some electrical work and the electrician had to cut a hole in the floor, which Demetris came back and fixes for us right away and free of charge. I wholeheartedly recommend Demetris Floor Sanding for any flooring job. He is composite professional and a delight to work with.

Two years ago I embarked on some interior renovations projects. After being advised twice that my very old hardwood floors could not be saved I was lucky enough to find Demetris. He patiently mixed some stains until I we found the perfect colour. He did a wonderful job and my beautiful floors are the foundation of my now completed renos. Hopefully Demetris will read this and know that two years later I am still thrilled every time I walk into my house.

Demetris is a true professional and very knowledgeable in his craft. He clearly set expectations and delivered what he promised, at the price he quoted. My neighbor suggested Demetris to refinish our floors and I take his recommendations seriously (he used Demetris in the past). Demetris came by for a quote (very reasonable) and scheduled some time a few weeks later. Once I lifted the carpets the floor had some serious stains and a couple of areas that needed serious patching (an old bedroom had been turned into a dinning room so the wall, closet, floor vent and a step had been patched with plywood, thankfully I had some original pieces of flooring leftover from another part of the house) quite frankly I was concerned. Demetris had a look and told me he could do a very good job covering everything up, if fact he did an awesome job, seamless with the patches and we used a dark stain on the oak floors for a very rich look, almost like new but with real character. I would highly recommend Demetris to friends, family and to you. He is a very nice guy as well, worth every penny and believe me, there are tons of people out there that will charge you way more and still do a poor job.

We hired Demetris as the cheaper of two quotations we'd received from contractors reviewed on this site. We booked our date well in advance, and Demetris advised us to call him a day before he was scheduled to begin. This made us a bit apprehensive, owing to past experience, but when we called him he said he'd be there as promised. He arrived exactly when he said he would, completed the job in exactly the time he had estimated and charged the very reasonable price he quoted. The result on our 20 year old hardwood is dreamlike. Viewed in the reflection of the sunlight, the wood is perfectly even and smooth with a homogeneous colour throughout. We had no idea our floor could look this good, and the value add is many times its cost. There was no mess whatsoever. He sanded around our very narrowly spaced banisters, under our stairs, under our fireplace hearth and in our tiny broom closet, places a lesser contractor would have ignored. All of the work was done without us ever being home--we entrusted him correctly with our key. What a success! We would recommend him to anyone.

Demetris was recommended to us through friends. We hired him to sand and finish the floors in our house. He was one of the best professionals we had dealt with in the process of renovating our house, both at the personal and the professional level. It was a pleasure working with him and he did a superb job, on time, with amazing results and went beyond and fixed additional areas in the house free of charge. I contacted Demetris becuase he had great reviews on Homestars and he did not disapoint. He came on time, finnished on time and did an excellent job. Even better, i asked him mow much he would charge to cut some extra cord around for another room while he had all his equipment out. He cut it for me, intalled it and did it for free. I will use him again, no question.

Demetris' quote was reasonable; he came when he said he would, and he did an excellent job on our old home's original stairs. He also fixed up a couple of areas on our floor that had been damaged by paint stripper. He asked for nothing up front, and all three days (for three coats of urethane) he worked in our home while we weren't here. Trustworthy, honest, reliable.

Hired Demetris to sand , stain and finish harwood floors in a rental property I own after another contractor had made a mess of the job. Was very pleased. A pleasure to work with. Will hire him to do all my floor sanding in the future.
