    renewal service

Beware..I have tried for 6 months trying to resolve a renewal issue. After moving in the spring, Dr.Green still applied 2 applications at the old address. The new owners said no but the 'technicians for Dr Green' still applied the treatment. We never received any notice in the fall to indicate the rates after coming of a SPECIAL Promotion. Yes they were informed, unfortunately verbally, the service is for one year. With their auto renew process they are looking payment on two applications they were told not to apply. They are selective on what the calls they record. In dealing with customer service their Supervisor was very rude ( you don't yell at the client!!) Don't get involved.

    Lawncare

Do yourself a favor and do not deal with this company They charge you for work they were not authorized to do and they harass you for ever to pay and call you every day incl. weekends. This company should not be in business This is my worst expirience in my 84 years Please read reviews

    Lawn Care

Worst company in the history of Lawn Care. I tried their 1 year special. Weeds everywhere. I had to apply fertilizer and weed control myself. The worst part is that they came back next year, unannounced, and have been asking for payment. I've been getting bills and now they're sending my account to a credit collection agency, all for services that I had not signed up for. I've tried to get them to send me a contract where I signed up for auto-renew services, but they don't reply. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!

    Lawn Service

I have had an ok experience with Dr Green. They did apply their services when expected. However, I did find that they called incessantly for overpriced additional services. My lawn is green but I definitely wouldn't say weed free. I think I'll do what I can on my own next year.

    Lawn Treatment

When I was first solicited by a salesperson for Dr Green, he wanted me to try their service with no risk. I explained that because I had a very small yard, (70 sq ft front lawn, 80 sq ft back lawn, and 80 sq ft blvd lawn) I would only hire the service if they'd do all three zones for the price of one. He readily agreed and the service began. no contract, no paperwork, and no follow up. The first visit was as promised. The second visit, they only treated the front yard. I called and they came back and did the other 2 zones. The third visit, they only did the front and did not come back after I called to complain. Same problem with the fourth visit. I withheld payment on the last two visits. Finally they called for payment and I explained they did not do the job correctly. The lady threatened to send me to 3rd party collection so I paid on the condition they NEVER come back. This spring, they came again. I tried calling and there was no answer, so I sent a message to them through their website reminding them that I cancelled and would not be paying them. There was no response. They came back three more times and kept sending me invoices. When they called to collect I told them I had cancelled. They told me I did not and that the contract was an evergreen meaning it would always renew unless I called a sales number and spoke to a salesperson about cancelling. Can you believe these guys? Absolute gangsters. Stay well clear of them!

    Law Service

We live in West Edmonton. Worse service ever. Our lawn did not improve. Services were constantly cancelled, not rescheduled, we did not get the 5 promised services in our lawn. Worse customer service, very bad training: When we called they did not have information, they could not help us, they continued to repeat a line from a script and did not help us to reschedule our services.

    Complete lawn cae

I prepaid in May 2013 for the full service which includes 5 visits and one core aeration. They only serviced 3 times. When I followed up, they claimed they did have one visit after July (last time I received my service) and did the core aeration on Sep 28. I told them there were no evidence of any service nor any notes left behind. They left the inovice for the 3 times they visited and there were no core in the lawn. They said they would send some people to check. Someone came on Oct 18 and left a note agreeing that the lawn had not been core aerated and would contact me. No one contacted me. I phoned couple times and they said they would do the job. So far, no visit from them. They did not fulfill their obligation except just keep selling services. I would not recommend this co. at all because even after the first 3 visits, there is no improvement to my lawn.

    Ongoing Lawn Care

I wonder why the reviews went from 7-9 stars down to 0 stars literally overnight in the middle of May this year. What happened? Was it something bad happen internally, or is someone paying people to write bad reviews? Anyway, I'm happy with Dr. Green's service. My only complaint is regular calls to up-sell their services, and I get that just as much from carpet and furnace cleaners. We live in NE Calgary. Our lawn was brown and weedy before we signed up in Spring 2012. By mid-summer, most of the weeds were gone and the grass was looking a lot healthier. By this spring (2013), the lawn was lush and there were only a handful of weeds around the edges and a couple of thistles in the backyard. The only time they were noticeably late for an appointment was during the heavy rains in June. I think their service charges are fair and so far the service and quality has been very good.

    Dr. Green Lawn Care

I have been a customer of Dr. Green since 2009. At the time I used to work full time from home. I have always suspected that they never actually did any of the services that I paid for. I would be working on my laptop with an entire view of the backyard. Not once did I see a Dr. Green technician go into my backyard, but I would get the bill sheet hanging on my door. In hindsight, I should have complained back then, but I didn't. During my second year using them, I came home from work, after a couple of their services, and noticed an empty beer can beside my house. I couldn't prove it was from one of the techs, but I am positive it was. I paid for their high priced over seeding. I looked all over the yard for any grass seed, but never saw any. I just thought that maybe I couldn't see the seed. I watered the lawn every day for the 2 or 3 weeks they recommended, but I never saw any new grass appear. They say it has a warranty on it, but I never bothered with it. I had a feeling it would not have made a difference complaining. I was also getting VERY tired of the multiple sales people coming to my door asking me if I want to be a Dr. Green customer. Even though I was already one. Also the multiple phone calls asking me to pay extra for their other services. I look after my lawn with cutting and watering, so I was shocked to see some dead spots on my lawn. So I finally cancelled the other day and that was a chore. It took my about 15 minutes on the phone to cancel their service. With me keep saying no thank you, I would like to cancel. The CS Rep would keep telling me I am missing out on their great service and he kept offering me cheaper services and extra deals. Finally I was able to cancel. I recorded all of the information of the call in case they come back in the future to say I didn't actually cancel. I also sent them an email to confirm my cancellation request. I will call them in a month to double check that my services have indeed been cancelled. My recommendation is to NOT use Dr. Green for any of your lawn care needs. The only positive thing I can say about this company is the email sent the day before they are supposed to show up.

    Lawn Services

Do not use this company! Their services are weak and their billing is terrible. They hounded me to prepay, which I did, but then they billed me again and again for services. They kept promising it would all be cleared up, but it never happened. Had to forcefully cancel. Do not use this company!
