The work this company did, helped our lawn be in the best shape it has even been in. We have been told by many neighbours that our lawn is the best in the community. We would highly recommend Dr. Green and would even put a sign on our lawn to support them.

Do NOT agree to have ANYTHING done by this company! Having read some other reviews, it seems MANY people have had the same problem with this company continuing to come for service even when the customer has notified them to cancel services. They state that they were not notified and that you owe them money for something that you did not ask for. If you do not pay, they continue to come and bill you and charge you interest. How does that make any sense? How is this company still in business? Completely unethical practices and schemes. Will lodge a complaint with BBB.

BUYER BEWARE. Do not, under any circumstances, hire this company for your lawn care. August 21, 2013. Careless application of fertilizer and spray to side of deck. Called company and was told a 'senior supervisor' would be out to assess the damage. (Jason was tech) August 28th, 2013. Dr. Green sent a tech to the house (Steve, not a senior supervisor) and he assessed the deck. He spent the majority of the time badmouthing the company and telling me how horrible they are to their employees. Was told someone would be out within two weeks to attempt to clean the deck. Several phone calls were made to Dr. Green after those two weeks came and went. No one has called me or come to the house to fix this. September 24th, 2013. I received a message saying Dr. Green would be out to do their regular final service to the lawn for the year. I called Dr. Green to cancel this application (I don't trust them not to ruin my deck even more). I was assured they would not be coming out. September 25th, 2013. Dr. Green came to my house (I was not home to stop them) and applied their final application despite my very direct request for them not to. September 25th, 2013. I called Dr. Green as soon as I got home and spoke with Julie. She had very little information about my issue, no record of the cancellation from the day before. She assured me that she was going to look into the issue and call me back within a couple of days. I was told refunds were not part of their policy. Even for ruining a deck. To date, I have received no contact and no follow up.

worst company ever! prepaid last year $500 for a whole year 2013 lawn care treatment and maintenance. It was supposed t start with air ration and top seeding in April. Ai ratio append in July, and we are still waiting for the top seeding Sept 27. We call every week and get told every week, we re on the priority list. No refunds the say. The techs, fertilizing and weeding every month, write every time. "suggest top seeding" and still nothing happens. ne Manager said the weather nee to be perfect, not too hot or cold, not to dry or wet to re seed. Meanwhile our neighbor who seeded his own lawn is lush and green. I wouldn't recommend this coma to anyone and do not buy into the pre paid package for the next year. it easy money for them and no service done to you. Terrible customer service!!! BTW we are in Calgary, unfortunately there wasn't an option for that city.

I love Dr.Green my lawn was looking really bad, dead grass everywhere, and lawn was really brittle, so shameful because I know I have a lovely home and I really wanted amazing lawn to go with it. When I signed up, cheap price, fast services, really an improvement; no weeds thick green grass as promised, and my lawn is now the nicest among my neighbours, really brag worthy. I recommend others sign up. Something I do personally to make sure that I have a really well maintained lawn, is after Dr.Green comes out to fertilize my lawn I water it, so it really gives off that dark green colour.

My First bit of advice - do not sign up with Dr. Green Services. They promise lots but do not follow through and then hound you for payment. Very disorganized organization. I used them last year and was very disappointed with the service and when you brought concerns to them they never followed through with the resolution. I have used lawn services before and got caught up with the extras Dr. Green promised for signing up. Also they do not tell you that you have to cancel if you do want the services for next year, however they call you up to sign up. So when they come out and service the lawn the following year they once again hound you for payment even though you told them you did not want their service. ONCE AGAIN DO NOT SIGN UP WITH DR. GREEN - you will be sorry.

In April of 2011, I was contacted by their sale team via the phone and they offered a good deal and my lawn need much attention. We signed up hoping for an improved lawn. The package we got was core aeration, weed control, soil test, soil conditioner, and lawn fertilization. We were told we would receive a minimum of 5 visits from spring to fall. June came around and they still did not show up but we received a bill. We contacted them and they informed us that they have shown up twice. Once for weed control, soil test, soil conditioner, and lawn fertilization. The second visit they performed core aeration. I informed them that this is not possible and ask where they perform the work. They performed it at our old house we moved from 3 years prior. The strange part is that at our old house we never used their service. They now expected us to pay for a second package to perform services at our current address. We promptly declined and proceed to get pass from "supervisor" to "supervisor" till they finally agreed it was their mistake. They showed up the next day at 6 pm and proceeded to perform two visits work, weed control, soil test, soil conditioner, lawn fertilization, and core aeration. The problem is this "work" was performed within 15 minuets. The core aeration only cored 1-2 mm of grass with a little soil because they perform this task so quickly. You could tell we were just shoved on the end of their day and quickly completed the job so they could get home. Once again late July come around and no Dr. Green. Once again we called and found out once again they went to the wrong address. They fit us in again at the end of the day and very quickly perform "work". Early August I called again and complained that their weed control have done very little and would like a follow up visit to get this under control. They informed me they would be back next week to follow up. Guess what they did not show and I called to find out they went to my old house again. September came around and time for the last visit and I had to called them again to inform them that you went to the wrong house again. They fit me in and did "work" quickly. The next year I perform the work they suggest on my own since I had more time. Boy did my lawn turn around and has looked great since. Since having their service we have been getting harassed from their phone sale team. We have received well over 60 phone calls during the last 2 years. Every call has ended with please remove us from your phone list. They can't perform this. Some time I ask what address do you have one file and they still recall my old house address. It has now gotten to the point that I'm posting review and have filled 5 complaints to the CRTC about their phone calls. I don't understand how this company is still in business.

This is my first year with nurse Green (not good enough to be a Doctor) in Calgary. It started from the spring when they came to power rake my lawn. Terrible job, barely raked up half the dead grass. Then they fertilized, again very poor. Basically did the middle of the lawn only. It took until July for them to show up to aerate. In all circumstances I called and they said someone would call me. They never did. In mid August I started calling again because my lawn is covered in weeds. Twice hey said someone would call right away. It's now the middle of September and I'm still waiting. I have no idea what this company is like in this city, but if you live in Calgary stay away, far away. I'll NEVER use or recommend them to anyone.

I contracted Dr. Green services this spring and had terrible service from the beginning. The untrained boys they sent out could care less what they sprayed and recklessly sprayed my precious plants that were costly to establish. I complained about it but got no resolution. I stated I wanted to be home the next time they sprayed so I could show my new plantings and areas I wanted sprayed. Nope, they sprayed again and killed my new plantings. They didn't get my backyard either. I have a fence but it doesn't lock which was their excuse to not go into the backyard. They charged me full price anyway. Their resolution was to come back another time for free to get the backyard but I never got a confirmation they ever did. I canceled with them and was told they would cancel my contract. This was in July. They came back again after I canceled and unauthorized charged to my account again. I never authorized they charge to my account or never signed up for AutoPay. They charged to my account multiple times without my AUTHORIZATION. I now have to pay overdraft charges to my bank for these unauthorized charges from Dr. Green Services. In my experience they should be shut down.

Extremely disappointed client... if that conveys my experience... I hired Dr Green this year with a clear objective which was conveyed and confirmed with the sales person about weed problem. I have a sprinkler system programed for each morning and take much initiative to fertilize, overseed and put fresh soil each year. The only concern was weeds.... after being given due assurances by different people I communicated with I realized that this company is just trying to fleece cleints. The first visit was 2 min flat... if u blink.. they are gone...being at home... I was quite surprised.... called Dr green and let them know... they said dont worry.. they will take care... I requested that they ring the bell as I am around. Next visit same thing .. I doubt anything was even done except dropping off their un-green plastic bag confirming their visit... I called and emailed again... even mentioned that I do not wish that they fail in their service as that was not my objective of hiring the service..... only to be ensured once again... that a thorough job will be done... this time I managed to see the guy and I requested him to do a thorough job ... I was surprised when he confided in me that they are paid based on how many houses they cover ... not essentially by the quality of service... the time that they came to spray to kill the weed... it was evident that nothing was done... all the weeds were lush green and thorny... I called again and the moment I asked if they would send me a mail confirming my call... she declined to be documented.... upon calling again... with a different rep... after expressing my displeasure when I mentioned that I was recording the conversation.... same thing.. I was put on hold and disconnected... Now I have got all my documentation ready to file a complaint with the Ministry of Consumer services... and I know of a few who have the same problem including my neighbour who is discontinuing their service and also seeking a refund....
