I just wanted to comment on the job that Encore did for us. We have a 20 year old home with wooden windows (builder grade no less) that needed replacing. Once we made the decision to change them out, we contacted 4 companies and got quotes from 3. After much research and interviewing, here what we found... The window industry is crazy insane with lots of fly-by-night outfits, deals for "no money down" and 0% interest deals (which really aren't) but the biggest issue (and the one that really pushed up to go with Encore) was the Window Wise certification. Lots of companies will claim to be WW certified for installation (which is hard/costly to get/keep) but what they really mean is that the windows they are buying are WW certified (which is pretty common and not that hard). It is definitely not the same thing and installation aspect is at least as important as the brand of window (and don't let anyone tell you otherwise). It's also a great question to ask when interviewing window companies as you can go check on the WW website to see if they are registered (and being square with you). As there are something like 2000+ window companies and only 40 or so are WW certified, it's pretty easy to separate the wheat from the chafe (or so we hoped). The Sales Rep was very knowlegdgeable (to be fair, so were the others) and clearly understood what made his brand of window "better". I felt that he was not just trying to make a sale but rather trying to educate a consumer. Very comfortable to deal with and was willing to be flexible on some of the custom things we wanted. After we had picked Encore and placed a deposit, we crossed our fingers and like most buyers hoped we had done the right thing. As it turns out, we had absolutely no reason to be concerned.George was amazing! He came by to take all the measurement and make sure that all of our questions we answered. He loves his work and genuinely wanted to make sure that we would be happy with the results (which we were). He came when he said he would, worked his butt off when he was hear, cleaned up his mess everyday and was very easy to deal with. To top it all off, the quality of his work is flawless and leaves nothing at all to be desired. In addition, Encore only uses the best quality foams and sealers (which many of the cheaper companies don't) and I now have no doubt that these windows will outlast us... One last thing I should mention is price. I realize that I could have "saved" a few thousand dollars by going with an other company but I really think that you get what you pay for in this case. It just didn't seem to be worth it to have to live with cheap windows and poor installation, especially knowing that you have to "look" at them everyday and you could have done better. At the time, it killed me to spend the extra cash but in hindsight, it was the best money we ever spent. AJ P.S. The windows look wonderful and, better still, they work! We didn't actually know anyone who had used this product - and at first couldn't visualize how the interior windows would work - or look in our home. We shouldn't have worried because basically you just don't see them - they are high quality attractive windows - that are so well matched to our exterior windows - that they simply improved the look of our windows from the inside. Hi Dave, I just wanted to thank you for installing the sound-proof windows and storm door in my house. The windows and the door have significantly reduced the traffic noise in the house, especially in my study. It is like I feel I live in a home again! Before, it used to feel that I lived on the street with all the traffic noise of cars and trucks. Now there is peace and quiet and I can live and work in my home. Renovating a rental property can be tough with tenants leaving and new tenants moving in. Mike helped me pick out the windows and doors that would lower my maintenance and utility costs, and then worked with me to schedule installation around my tenants schedule. We decided to install new windows to replace the 25 year old windows on our home. We replaced al the windows, about 20. Install was quick, very good job. Very Quiet, didn't notice them, kept the house clean like they were never there.

We had several doors and windows installed by Encore, and I must say they(both the doors and the people!)are really impressive. Dave is very sincere and professional with a high level of integrity, rarely seen in companies these days. If something wasn't quite right, he jumped on it so fast and kept on it until it was rectified to my satisfaction. From a friend (who is a Mike Holmes fanatic and into renovating) who watched George install them, I got a play-by-play commentary on how excellent George was, and did everything exactly how it should be done. And the windows and doors look fabulous! I can't stop looking at them and smiling. So needless to say, I highly recommend Encore to everyone. Thank you Encore. Vanna

We recently had our front door and windows replaced. Anthony took his time and explained the different types of window options and recommedations for a new front door. The customer service was exceptional. Anthony drove around the neigbourhood to show me the different doors and styles to insure I was happy with my choice in front door. The installation and professionalism of his crew was great. Good quality work. A definite recommendation. Thanks guys!!!

My husband and I purchased what was to be our dream home. However, after moving in we quickly noticed how loud the traffic noises were, especially in our master bedroom and ensuite. We back onto a major traffic intersection and the constant hum of the cars, plus the booming engines of trucks and buses were very annoying and often woke us in the very early morning hours. We contacted Dave of Encore Windows and from the start he was very professional, informative and answered all of our questions about soundproof windows thoroughly and honestly. Installation was done by Issy, who also answered all of our questions, and was very professional and surprisingly quick. The sound difference was noticeable right away; we could hear our television without having to raise the volume really high. The first night was even strange because we weren't used to such a peaceful and quiet environment. We can now fully enjoy our master bedroom in our dream home!
