A wee bit hard to contact initially, but further communication was fine. Appointments were met and the job done neatly and quickly at a competitive price. Going from very little to a sea of insulation makes a noticeable difference to the house feel and heating cycle, of course.

I recently hired Knox Insulation to top up the insulation in my attic. My home is only 10 years old yet I had no where near enough fiberglass insulation (4-8 inches throughout) and so I started researching. All my research pointed to the benefits of cellulose over fiberglass and I was referred to Knox Insulation by 2 different sources. Ryan was great to deal with (although tough to get on the phone during the day as he is very busy) but came through with a great price and showed up on the date promised. He brought a crew of 3 and they were all terrific. He want above and beyond finding other problems in my attic and offering to repair them at no additional cost to me. One bedrroom has a vaulted ceiling and the all the builder did was staple one peice of bat insulation along the sides... Knox blew in 8" of cellulose on top. He sealed my hatch and cleaned up after himself. My attic now has been topped up to 15" of cellulose (R50) everywhere and is perfectly even. His installer did a perfect job IMO. I noticed an immediate difference at home and I strongly recommend Knox Insulation.

We have suffered with a cold top floor in our 3 storey house since we moved in 6 years ago. My brother-in-law recommended I hire Knox Insulation to come in and top up the original builders insulation. They did a fantastic job. Kyle was responsible for the job. He called ahead of time to manage expectations on his arrival. He did a thorough inspection of the attic. Pointed out the area's which had likely contributed to our variance in house temperature? He took before and after photos to show me what he was addressing, and eventually how he had addressed. They did a fantastic job, leaving no mess at all and we look forward to 'feeling' the positive effects as the days and nights get colder. They are a five star firm!

Our company contracted Knox Insulation to insulate 57 townhomes. They completed the the jobs to above industry standards & finished ahead of schedule. We found their installers very professional & a pleasure to deal with. They left the homes neat & tidy, there was not a single complaint. I have a sun room that had old pink insulation fallen from under the floor. I needed to get into the crawl space but could not due to most of the insulation falling. I called Kent at Knox, and after explaining the situation, he came out that evening to look at the space. After giving me a few different options, I settled on Knox coming and removing all the insulation, which included fallen chicken wire and other materials that had been used over the years which needed removal. Kent explained that he would do his best to complete the work within a week. I was extremely pleased to come home two days later and find the job completed. Everything was removed and was totally left spotless. I could not have been more pleased. Knox was very professional, did exactly what they said they would do, and in a timely manner. I work in the customer service field, so my expectations are quite high. I am pleased to say that Knox met them to a tee. I would not hesitate to refer Knox for any insulation work at any time.

We had racoons invade our attic. Kent the owner helped get rid of them, he even drove one in a cage out into the country. The Knox family fixed the damage for the price they quoted promptly.I would use this company again without question. Kym in Stouffville

I am a Licensed Energy Advisor. I have performed hundreds of home energy audits. As an Energy Advisor I am bound by guidelines. I can share with homeowners ideas for improving their homes energy efficiencies. I am not permitted to refer one supplier over another. I have observed good work done and I have also seen poor work done. I have gone into many homes "after" work has been done by Knox Insulation, Peatson's Heating & Air Conditioning, George Kent Home Improvements, etc, etc. If I follow a supplier or retailer into a home and there is a question of quality or ethics, I never mention their name in conversation. It seems unethical to me to condemn a firms work or practices without idenifying yourself or not giving the firm the opportunity to defend themselves. I mentioned above some of the firms that I have followed into homes and without exception in all cases I have not come across any unhappy homeowners, any bad practices or bad workmanship. I am bound to advise any homeowners to be smart consumers and comparison shop. Also try and talk to "PEOPLE YOU KNOW" that have had good experiences with suppliers and contractors. Be very careful if forming an opinion strictly based on internet articles you have read by someone who does not identify themselves. They may be hiding the true motive behind their article. Knox insulated 2 homes for me, one I live in and one we rent, the best thing about them is that they showed up when they said, did what they said, cleaned up and you would not have known they were there if you had not seen them. Our own home has improved in comfort and heating bills have fallen at least 20%. No complaints from the rental now either. They were referred and are a very good choice.

Instead of simply "doing a job" they ensured it was what I needed ! They recommended a home audit, before they did any work, which overall saved me $$$! They were prompt, clean, and did an excellent job. Would definitely recommend them.
