    rebuild chimney

    Bill and his team were referred by a neighbour to complete/redo disaster left by "handyman" we had hired to remove and rebuild our chimneys. Prompt, professional, very neat, attention to detail and safety issues, on time and budget. I am thrilled!

    Chimney Liner Installed

    Bill responded promptly, and took the time to answer my questions. He quoted $2,500-3,000 plus HST and then billed the lower amount. The work was done quickly & efficiently. His team were experienced and well mannered and cleaned up the job site afterward. Bill was there from the start, but as soon as he felt that things were progressing smoothly, he left his capable team in charge. I would recommend this company for all chimney related work. They did the work November 2010, and I am writing this review April 2011.

    Chimney repair

    Bill was very patient in explaining what I had and what should be done. He was upfront if it was an issue that needed attention now or just something to watch. It was a nice experience finding a contractor that I felt comfortable dealing with.

    Chimney Rebuild

    We needed a chimney rebuild from roof line up, prior to getting new roofing. Probably like a lot of you, I have a busy schedule and appreciated Bill's quick response to emails and we got a lot done over the internet. In fact, I never met Bill. However, my wife met him and the crew during the job and remarked on how courteous and efficient they were. The price was competitive as well.

    Chimney liner for hot water heater

    I had already received a quote that seemed very high before I called Bill. He provided a much more reasonable quote. He also kindly took pity on our situation (no hot water) and arranged to do the job the next day. Our old chimney made the job more difficult than expected but he persevered and did fantastic work! I can't recommend him highly enough.

    Chimney liner

    Started looking for a liner for my chimney. Had bill come over to take a look. He told me the fireplace was in good condition and explained what would be needed for the liner. After confirming with him, he was able to fit me in between other jobs. His team showed up when he said they would. They were friendly, accommodating and professional. They did a great job and you can't even see where they cutaway the brick to install the liner. They needed to replace two bricks that cracked when they removed them and found a great match .

    Chimney Liner Installation

    We hired these guys to install a stainless steel liner in our chimney. I tried to get this done with another company last year (http://homestars.com/reviews/59853?company_id=227484) but called it off altogether because they were such a pain to work with. Bill and his crew came in and gave a free estimate, something the other company had charged me for last year. The estimate was cheaper than the one from the other company, so I hired them. They came in and did the work quickly, and charged me exactly the amount they estimated. The fireplace works great now. We've had a lot of problems with service providers in Toronto, so it's nice to see a business that has their stuff together like The Chimney Company. Be sure to check out their website. They keep it up-to-date and full of helpful information, which is also nice to see.

    Rebuild Chimney

    We were getting a new roof, but the chimney had to be fixed first. Bill had no problem getting it done for us, on time and at an excellent price. The chimney was rebuilt in less than a day, (it came apart very easily we're told.) and looks great. Only complaint is Bill has the same name as our roofer. That led to confusion a couple of times on the phone. Thank-you for a job well done.

    Chimney Rebuild

    I called several of the top rated chimney companies on Homestars for quotes when we found out our chimney needed a rebuild and had to be done prior to our scheduled roof over. Bill was very professional, clear and to the point. He knows his chimneys well and backs it up with a 10 year warranty that none of the other companies provided. Though my husband was out of town, I was perfectly comfortable dealing with Bill. He clearly explained and showed me how the new brick color varied slightly in comparison to our original brick and how the cement finishing between the bricks would be different in order to prevent future cracks. He made sure I understood and approved before starting work. I also greatly appreciated that he was accommodating at short notice, working to fit us into his busy schedule so we could be done before our roof over started. Finally, Bill quickly found a work around with minimal disruption when we had difficulties with our neighbour. They came on time, did their work and cleaned up before leaving. No fuss, no mess! I highly recommend Bill and his team, and have no hesitation in using them again. - The Lees

    Chimney & brick repair

    We hired Bill to rebuild our crumbling chimney last year. The old chimney was removed, and a new one installed in two days. We were very happy with his work, so we hired him back this spring to replace disintegrating bricks at the top of our turret (above the 2nd floor). The entire top of the turret was rebuilt in four days. For both jobs, Bill found identical matching bricks. And both times, the cleanup was immaculate. We are very happy with the work done and have no complaints. There is still more brick repair to done at other parts of the house, and without a doubt, we will be calling Bill to do the work.
