New windows and doors on house

We had most of our windows and patio door replaced, and I am more than happy with Durabuilt. Office staff was good and the installers were great. There were two of them and they worked well and finished in one day. They cleaned up after themselves and were very nice. Price was middle of the road, we checked several companies. The salesman was not pushy and outlined the price of each window separately, so we were able to understand the prices.

    Replace basement window with egress

For basement reno I needed proper egress as my window exits were too small. The windows were ordered just before Christmas and completed 4 weeks later as they said it would be. My fault I never measured the window after it arrived to see if it was the size I ordered, it took a bit of extra concrete chipping to get it in. I ordered one from a different company and it came the perfect size. It looks to be a good product.

    Installed windows and doors

We had bought an older home and needed newer and more efficient windows. We went with Durabuilt for price and their customer service. They had installed our picture window and it was the wrong one. They were very good about changing it in a reasonable time. Appreciated the great customer service.

Triple pain solar window renovation in house

Out house is now 22 years old and was in desperate need of window replacement. I replaced 9 aluminum sliding windows with PVC framed triple pain solar glazed windows from Durabuilt, and not only has my heating bills gone down in the winter, but the house is so much warmer and air tight than it ever has been. We used to get cold drafts in various areas of the house and now it is uniformally warm anywhere inside. I would stronly recommend this company.

Windows for our detached garage with storage loft

We went to the southside edmonton durabuilt location. Were looking for in-stock windows for our detached garage. In all we needed 5 windows. They only had 3 windows in stock, 2 had to be specially ordered. We inquired as to whom we speak with regarding ordering them. the person who is in charge of the instock windows told us he can add the 2 windows to their order they place for instock windows. Big mistake. Our order got lost, there was no invoice number to track the windows. we had ordered the windows in october, we were told they would arrive in 2 weeks time. Come december they were still not in and no one could tell us anything about the windows. After many phone calls with numerous people in Durabuilt, even the manager we were finally told that we had to reorder those 2 windows. But seeing as how it was just before christmas we had to wait for durabuilt to make them in january as their plant shuts down for 2 weeks at christmas time. We finally ended up getting our windows at the end of January. We did not get any special discount for our troubles either. To make matters worse, Durabuilt had the nerve to call us in June of that year to let us know our windows were ready for pick up and we had to pay for them. Another round of phone calls & 2 weeks worth of hassle and having to send them our receits to prove that we had paid for one set and then the order was cancelled, and then had to be reordered. Once everything was sorted out there wasn't even an apology from the company. We are not happy with Durabuilt southside location, and will not use them when we build our next house.

Replacement of bow window, patio doors & large rakehead window and 3 other windows

We had Durabuilt replace 1/2 of the windows and doors in our home a few years ago. We decided on them based on their product and price (both somewhat middle of the road compared with other companies) and their reciept of the Consumer Choice award for many consecutive years. Overall, in the end we were happy with the quality of the windows and doors but not thrilled with the customer service - we had issues with them "forgetting" to actually make the windows and therefore not showing up on install day. We had a few additional items we wanted addressed and when we attempted contacting them we received little or no reponse. As I said though, in the end the product was good and after dealing with a few more contractors since then they aren't the worst out there.

Thank you Heather for your review. We acknowledge a small period of time where there were issues with the ERP change over that caused problems with orders and are not a reflection of our present day customer service. We strive everyday for excellence with all of our departments and take all reviews very seriously. Replace several windows throughout our house

We had to replace several very large windows in our older home. The salesperson we dealt with at Durabuilt was Alex, whom I'd recommend dealing with. I know a few other people who have had bad experiences with Durabuilt recently, but our experience was good - Alex made sure we were happy with the windows, and with the install. Our first windows installation was last year in the fall, and we went back to Alex again this past spring to get our front door and another few windows replaced. I would recommend dealing with him.

    Answer from pro:

They’ll guide you through the entire process of choosing the right window series for your home, operations best suited for your needs and finding the perfect colour- as well as educate you on the benefits of triple pane glass, rebate incentives and energy star ratings. We are pleased to see that you are happy with your Durabuilt windows and door but are concerned about the "bad experiences" that you know of. Windows and Patio Dodrs

In 3 different times they installed our upstairs, downstairs and patio windows/doors without any issue and they were fast and efficient . Service was great for our house and they even fixed part of a window ledge on the upstairs main bedroom window due to water damage on a future repairs for the bottow windows. The repair guy just casually said they can replace the ledge when they come to do the bottom windows. So great service and support. Thanks

    Window and door complete renovation

I just spent the weekend admiring our new windows and doors in our home. After years of putting it off we finally decided to upgrade the windows, doors and siding. The Durabuilt sales associate was incredibly helpful and professional and the install crew was awesome as well. Thanks to them, my neighbors and jealous and looking to make changes and I have told them to go with Durabuilt, no questions asked.

    Answer from pro:

Hello Jeff, Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. I'm pleased to know that you, like so many other customers had a great Durabuilt experience! Sincerely, John M
