    Window replacement

While I normally don’t take the time to offer feedback on my experience with products and/or services, I have made an exception, in this case, for reasons that will be made clear. I originally contacted Centennial Windows and Doors for an estimate on some work that I needed to have done on my home. Todd, the sales consultant who I soon met afterwards, arrived with several samples of the window and accessory equipment that is used by Centennial . He took the time to walk me through some of the various technical aspects of window manufacture and installation while pointing out many of the superior features of the Centennial brand, some of which, like the proprietary German manufactured gasket sealer, I learned from my own research, were at the leading edge of the window and door manufacture industry. Given the company’s 30+ years of experience, awards, predominantly positive customer feedback, no quibble plus transferable lifetime warranty, and focus on innovation, I agreed to have Centennial replace 5 windows and one sliding patio door for me. Kevin and Abe, the two installation technicians who later arrived to install my order did so with the utmost of professionalism and dedication to their craft. They kept the work area as clean as possible, worked from 9am till 6pm, with no breaks, and, as I learned later on, did this following and prior to a 1.5 hour commute from the Centennial factory in London to my home in Burlington. Their outstanding work ethic, and prevailing reason for this endorsement, was made even more evident to me when they took the time necessary to properly install my new patio door over a botched DIY installation from the previous owner that was uncovered near the end of their 9 hour work day, not including commutes. I leave it to the reader to draw his/her own conclusions as to the quality of these two employees. The company appears to be at the higher end of the price spectrum but, as always, one ultimately will receive what one pays for. In my own opinion, the investment is a solid one. Thank you gentlemen and thank you Centennial. Gus, Burlington

    Front Door/ Sliding Patio Doors

The presentation was far better than another company we had in so that was a huge factor in the choice. This company delivered on time and as expected. We are satisfied with our sliding doors and front entry door. The installers were friendly and proficient. I thought it was pricey but seemed to be worth it overall. We have more privacy, better heat retention and added value to our home.

    Doors & Windows

As seniors, we did not want to fall into any of the "pitfalls" that we have had in past with other renovation projects. Salesperson Todd was very thorough and explained everything in great detail. Quality product, professional installation and no nonsense warranty!

    Basement windows and 2 doors

I was excited to have centennial windows come in and instal our new basement windows and doors. I thought the price was high, but they were adamant that their customer service and warranty was top notch, so I was more than happy to pay for it. When they were installing the windows and also the doors, there was damage done to our trim. We mentioned this when they were about to leave (this is 5 weeks past the maximum quoted instillation date, btw, which was a huge issue since I was pregnant before and now had a 1 week old baby - in the middle of winter - that I then had to take to my mom's house for the whole day. Thank God she lives close to me). Just to note, I had mentioned the date that I was due NS had confirmed that the windows would be done before my due date. I was 1 week late having my baby, and the windows still were not installed. Anyhow, there was damage done to the trim - a lot of damage where the doors had been installed. This is a big issue for us, because we have very old trim also, since our house is 100 years old, so it's hard to find trim to match. They said they would come and fix it, however, they never did. When we called, they said they would call us back and never did. Then, our back door one day - which leads to our garage - just stopped opening. When I called, it took 2 weeks to get someone out to fix it. At this point, I have a 1 year old and had to walk around the block - I have an L shaped lot to get him to the car for 2 weeks because our door was jammed shut! When they finally came to fix it, we had an ok experience, but now, 3 weeks later, the door is giving us problems closing. Someone was supposed to come by today - they finally called us, one year later, about fixing the trim, so I was going to mention the door - however, they just called to cancel my appointment, even though it was booked 3 weeks ago. I've just had enough at this point. I would never recommend their service. Especially not for the price we paid.

    Answer from pro:

Dear Carolina, We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced regarding the installation and servicing of your windows and doors. The service you received is certainly not Centennial’s standard. We are happy to have been able to re-schedule your service appointment and thank you for allowing us to come back to your home to fix your trim. If there’s anything else that we can do to rectify the situation, please let me know. Jon Low Manager of Installation and Customer Service Centennial Windows & Doors 1-800-265-1995

    Window replacement

Unbelievable. Had 9 windows replaced. workmanship was great. When I checked the other 4 windows I did not replace, the temperature was 10 degrees colder than the replaced ones, so had the other 4 replaced. Excellent trim and framing and workmanship. Thanks to Ryan, Dan, Richard and Glenn as well as Anto. An excellent product and installation.

    Answer from pro:

Dear David, It’s wonderful to hear that you’re noticing a temperature difference with your new windows – particularly with all of this cold, winter weather! We’ll be sure to pass your thanks on to our Customer Service and Installation teams. Thanks for trusting Centennial with your window replacements!

    windows and doors

Good afternoon, I was the recipient of an exceptional customer experience, I thought it important to reach out. As one who takes pride in home ownership as well as being in the business of insuring them, I have a keen eye not only for the work being done itself, but the manner in which a company presents itself and delivers on its promise. In my humble opinion, your company, and specifically Mr. Brian Morrissey, has hit all the right notes and exceeded my expectations. I have now purchased 2 of your products from Mr. Morrissey, my windows and my door. From the moment that Brian entered my home, he carried himself with a level of professionalism and knowledge that impressed me. First of all, simply being prompt and on time was a breath of fresh air compared to some of your competitors. When the presentation began, I knew within the first 30sec. that I could take him at his word and that we would do business. Mind you, nothing was even close to being confirmed or selected, but we all know you have only one chance to make a first impression, and Mr. Morrissey delivered. Clearly he was extremely knowledgeable, but it was in the way he explained things simply, so that an uneducated person like myself understood the product and it’s features and benefits. His ability to offer suggestions was extremely valuable as Brian has a keen eye for style and what would work with the design of my home. I felt comfortable in making a decision to purchase without hesitation, quite simply because Brian put me at ease in how the next steps were to take place, the level of craftsmanship that I would witness and of course your product guarantee is second to none. In stating that, I would be remiss if I did not mention that the actual installers did a masterful job on both occasions, to the point where referrals from my friends and family will be forthcoming. Thank you again not only for providing a 1st class product that I am happy to have in my home, but for the 1st class service I received from Mr. Brian Morrissey and your installation team. The experience has been second to none, and we will most certainly do business in the future. windows

Had windows installed in the spring. The measurer damaged our drywall. Called to complain and was offered the solution of larger trim to hide the drywall damage. When i refused that they said they would send someone to fix it. They sent someone without notifying us so we were not home. Called to reschedule and havent heard from them since. Its been 5 months and had to have someone else in to fix it. Do not stand behind their work. And getting ahold of the service department id a nightmare. Unlikely to use Centennial for rest of the house next year.

    Answer from pro:

Dear Lisa, We are very sorry to hear about the damage to your drywall and for any inconveniences you have experienced. Please know that this is not our standard for customer service and that we want to make this right for you. We'd like to get in contact with you so that we can work with you toward finding a solution, but are unable to find you in our system when we search the name 'Lisa Coburn'. It may be that another name is on your contract. Please give us a call at our head office, 1-800-265-1995, and ask to speak with our General Manager, Don Midwood. Again, we are very sorry to hear about your damaged drywall and hope that we are able to work together to find a solution.

    Door and Window Installation

We recently had all our windows and doors installed by Centennial and we are extremely happy with the result of the job. We love our gorgeous new front door. The modern design of the glass made a huge improvement to the look of our entry way. Our new windows are solid, attractive and of very good quality. Also energy efficient and constructed in a way that will make the horrible chore of window cleaning a breeze. The installers showed up on time, finished the job in a timely manner and cleaned up after the job was done. Centennial’s customer service was outstanding and beyond what we expected. They went out of their way to work with us on a couple of design changes that we asked for and kept coming back until we were a 100% satisfied with all aspects of the installation. We are very happy we hired Centennial to install our new windows and doors and would highly recommend this company to anybody thinking about new windows and doors for their home.

    widows & doors

I thought that my front windows and front door was an expensive job but I wanted a nice curb appeal and went with Centennial because of their product and installation warranty. It took them longer to finish the job than I had expected and the wall was damaged in the process. They did not come back to repair the crack in the wall and within 5 months rain water was coming through the window......they say they have a file and are working on it but this has been going on for 3 yrs 6 mo and still no action. Every time it rains I call them and they do nothing. The wood is water stained and the drywall is falling apart and I am sure that there must be mould and mildew in the wall as well and last night I was catching water again in containers to save my rug. I need action and they won't help. Still waiting for a call that was promised by someone two weeks ago. Jon Low and Don Rigby both came to my home today August 22nd to assess the situation and the problem I am dealing with. The leak may possibly be from the roof and than coming along the wall and dripping through the window. Th inside job of the window was an excellent installation and the water is coming in from the outside somewhere above the window. Jon assured me that we will work together to get the leak fixed before we can take care of the damage. Feel confident dealing with this person that the problem will get solved and the damage repaired. A very positive meeting.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Beverley, We are very sorry for the delay in communication. We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us on the phone and for allowing us to come back to your home and fix your leak. We admit that we are not perfect and that sometimes mistakes happen, but please know that we will do everything we can to fix this problem. Thank you for bringing this problem to our attention. Please let me know if anything else can be done to better your experience with Centennial. Jon Low Manager of Installation and Customer Service 1-800-265-1995
