I need a new mixing valve for my hot water heater in a hurry. Jeremy with Mr. Rooter was on site quickly, made the replacement and took care of the issue. I found him professional, informative and friendly.

Aaron arrived on time and was very polite. He was able to unblock my water flow quickly and efficiently. He also gave me some sound advice to avoid future blockage and great product recommendation. I was very satisfied with the service and will definitely use Mr. Rooter again.

Shower water was no longer hot. I narrowed it down to faulty cartridge, so I tried to remove the handle to see what kind of cartridge do I need. But the handle was stuck. I was afraid to pull too hard to not damage the pipes. I couldn't use a standard puller as the handle wasn't an axial-mounted one, the mounting screw was on the side. The only other idea I had was to cut the handle, hoping not to damage the cartridge as I wasn't sure if/how fast I could find a replacement. Too risky. I already knew of Mr Rooter - they helped me before when I got stuck. So I requested an appointment online at https://ottawa-on.mr-rooter.ca. Got a phone call back in just a few hours and got the appointment for the next day - a 2h window. Got another call about ~30min before the scheduled window: Luca was heading my way and arrived ~45min later. He followed the tablet app-guided procedure, confirmed my diagnostic, provided an estimate and proceeded to do the work. His experience paid off: he knew exactly how to pry and pull, the handle eventually got unstuck and slowly, slowly came off. The cartridge was also stuck. It broke off in pieces. The last piece also took some time to get unstuck and uncovered the culprit: the bottom of the plastic cartridge and the rubber seal showed signs of melting - most likely the original installer soldered the pipes with the cartridge installed. Next hurdle - the cartridge was a Belanger one, not commonly found in the stores. Luca knew where to call, quickly located a replacement (FC9AC008C) and went to get it, all the way in the East end. Installation was much easier. Hot water as expected. Luca also checked the boiler and the mixing valve - all OK. Only a $20 fuel surcharge over the initial estimate. The cartridge was included. In all a tad over 2h since he arrived. No way I could have done it in less than a day (not even considering the considerable amount of stress). Well worthy.

A shower faucet/valve exploded in my house and was shooting water everywhere. It was December 31st and I couldn't find anyone to even look at it. After calling several plumbing services in Ottawa, I finally got in touch with Mr Rooter and they were the quickest to send someone (Aaron) to assess the problem. I was given an overview/explanation of the problem as well as an estimate for fixing it, which I found reasonable. I agreed to go ahead with the work. The work was completed in about 2.5 hours and looked great. All question/concerns I had were answered and overall I'm very happy with Mr. Rooter and Aaron's work and response times. Cost was included in 5 year membership which also provided discount for the original service. Ryan scoped the sewage and rainwater drains to the street (annual service following backup several years ago) . No roots in the system. Check and advice on all fixtures throughout the house. Friendly and helpful service - booked on Dec 27 and done on Fri, Dec 29 - impressive.

Had called this morning concerning our plumbing problem. Katie, the telephone service rep, was very clear, helpful and professional. She was a pleasure to deal with. The service technician, Jason, was here this afternoon and cleared up our problem with a minimum of fuss, in a timely manner. We appreciated his work.

I had 4 other plumbers come in and snake and water ram and nothing could clear the clog in the drain. I called Mr rooter and they sent over Ryan sherrar. He came evaluated and sent the camera down and found out it was a temp cap stuck. He located where it is and now we will be chipping up the concrete to fix the repair. Amazing service. Ryan was user professional and as well with the staff I spoke to when I called. Showed up same day and found the solution same day. Out performed the rest. Highly recommend them and if your lucky to have Ryan you won't be left scratching your head still. Thanks again!

Shower had been dripping for weeks. Tried several things myself. Called Mr. Rooter and Jeremy Shiwed up on time the next day and had the problem diagnosed and solved inside 20 minutes.

The lid of a jar was stuck in the toilet. I got on line to Mr. Rooter and then a representative called me. The plumber was at my home within the hour. The entire job took an hour and a half ... a half hour over the plumber's shift. He was pleasant, professional and determined to get the lid out of the small, narrow passage which was in the toilet.
