Blockage in kitchen drain was approximately 20 feet into drainage pipe. Drain was successfully unblocked and usage was completely restored. I have used Mr. Rooter services previously and have also recommended them to friends. This time the same polite and efficient service was competed by Riley. Laundry drain as clogged. Called Mr Rooter as I had previous work done by them. They sent Carl, and he was great. Right away knew what the issue was, was clear, helpful, dependable and friendly. I had a leaking toilet. The technician told me that he will need to do a minor repair to stop the leaking. He mentioned 2 places he needed to seal in the toilet. The work was done and leaking was stopped. I am satisfied with the service. However, I am wondering about the price. The entire work took 1 hr and there was no price for parts in his invoice. He charged me $800 before tax. Assume the parts if there are any, are less than $100. Then basically his hourly rate is $700. Is that a fair market price? I understand the inflation is high over the past few years. But I still feel the price is too high. Shane went over an above to give an incredible home inspection of all the plumbing needs we desired. We had many issues, but we tackled the hot water tank leak for today. I would recommend Shane to ANYONE! Knowledgeable, personable, and a great attitude! He was our kind of guy! Will be getting around 6000$ worth of work done over this year, and we wouldn't want anyone else but him t do it! Top notch guy right here!
