My husband and I are just about to start a major reno. The first step before we can do anything is to get our basement dug out which requires structural drawings in order to get accurate quotes. Rocco was referred to us and was extremely prompt, professional and overall, just fantastic. He took care of everything – outlined the process and detailed any issues we might encounter. I'll definitely be working with him to prepare drawings for the rest of my reno!

We found Rocco on Homestars, emailed him and received a response within minutes. From start to finish it took approximately 4 days to get the drawings and building permit. We were referred to Rocco. Rocco was fast, greatly expediting both drafting of plans and getting the building permits from the City quickly. Unfortunately however we had an issue with regards to amendments for the plans that was not resolved amicably between Rocco and our consultant. I hope that for his future projects that this doesn't happen again as his work at the front end of the project was great.

The renovation of our home has been a stressful process, so we were glad when we eventually found Architalcan via kijiji. Rocco was quick to respond and came out to our house the next day to discuss our plans. He was super friendly, had great design ideas, and he actually listened to us and worked with us to design what we wanted. Our previous designer took months to create plans, and even more time when we had changes, but Rocco was quick to complete the plans, as well as discuss new ideas or changes. He constantly kept up communications with us and relieved a lot of stress from the renovation process. Rocco is very knowledgeable about building and design, and he even dealt with the City when we had permit and zoning issues. Rocco was a huge help and we are grateful that we found him. Rocco will always remain our designer of choice and we will continue to work him for future projects! Thank you Rocco!

I found Rocco on HomeStars and gave him a call. He was very quick to respond to my message and we set up a time to meet at my house at my earliest convenience. He arrived on time and listened to the project I had planned. He explained everything he was going to do and delivered. He had the permits in my hand within 5 days. Our plans changed last minute on a weekend while in the demolition phase and he even came out at 7pm on a Sunday evening with no electricity in the house and had the new drawings available for the contractor by that evening. Again he handed me my new city permits within 5 days to continue with the renovation at no cost to me except for the cost of the permits and Engineer stamp. I highly recommend Rocco for any needs you have requiring an architect. He delivers as quoted. I've already passed his card on to a client of mine.

The drawings(and building permit) were ready within unbelievably short period of time(3-5 days from the first visit). Actual payment is taken after permit is obtained. Overall the the service is highly professional; not only this ... but I got a lot of useful advices about my project ( how to do things better, floor layout, how to use space more conveniently, where to relocate tech. room, other possible enhancements to my basement, etc... ).

I have minimal experience in building drawings and permits. Rocco was able to understand what was required and I feel he went above and beyond what is expected in an architect. Rocco utilized his past experience and knowledge and was able to apply those tools to our needs in a very timely fashion. I explained what we required and he able to make it fit in with the drawings. After he made the drawings and referred us to an engineer he attended to Toronto City Hall and got all of the required permits. When I advised him that I was meeting with the contractors, he offered to attend the meeting and explain what was on the drawings and what was required from the contractors from the contractors. My wife and I were referred to Rocco by a contractor who recommended his services based upon past experiences with him. Rocco was able to meet with us upon short notice, providing us with not only the requested drawings but also taking the step of obtaining permits, saving us a lot of hassle at city hall. After receiving the initial drawings we continued to have questions which Rocco promptly responded to, providing after sales service much appreciated when so many just take the money and disappear. He even provided us with revised drawings within one day when our plans changed, at no extra charge.
