I have used The Gardener for a few years to cut my lawn on a weekly basis. They do a great job. The new owner, Trevor, is a nice person and takes the time to explain any problems with the lawn. The fall cleanup was fabulously done.

We hired the gardener in Richmond Hill after my father in-law used them for a year. He was very happy with their work he was using them to cut the grass. We were having trouble with weeds and grass not growing so we called. We signed up for the spraying, soil correction and fertilizer. They never called or set a day to come, we have a dog so hard to just have someone walk into your yard with no notice. They sprayed for weeds with no info as to what we should do or not do and left. That night dark brown stains appeared on our fence, deck and down spouts. We were told it was because our fence was not sealed, for the record we had just had it washed and sealed a month before. So now I am left with a cedar fence that looks like crap. Not impressed at all.

Hired for second year, first year was disorganized: billing was inconsistent and hedges not always trimmed but they were convenient and the grass got cut weekly with no issue. This year, despite my pre-renewal conversation about hedge trimming they have not yet been touched 6 weeks into the service. Grass is cut regurlarly and but I am annoyed that they can't seem to get the hedges trimmed. I've left 4 messages with no response which in more annoying than the hedge trimming issue. Will be switching services.... Better places out there.

I used Thornhill East this past spring/summer, for all lawncare - a complete and upgraded package. This is not the first season I had Craig attend to my property, but it is the first time The Gardener implemented a full lawn care maintenace service. My lawn has never looked worse. It was being cut far too short, and I asked Craig repeatedly to raise the blade or skip the cut, as grass which is scalped to the ground is unhealthy for the lawn and makes it prone to disease. The slid seeder was used at the end of last season, and I literally saw my grass uprooted from the soil and spread across my lawn. I was horrified and asked Craig to please restore the lawn to its former condition. He was sent several emails as well; as telephone messages , and never directly replied back to me. He had his secretary pass along an email he sent to her, which was then to be forwarded to me. The reply was crude, and in the end he never did take responsibility for severely damaging my lawn. Craig asked to be paid in cash, and every 2 months, he collected $170 from me. I paid for the lawn maintenance in cash as well, (240) at his request. There are no paper trails or receipts, as I never got anything...of course paying cash and getting a good price was my priority - I did not require a receipt. I am just devastated that a once healthy lawn is in terrible condition, by anyone's standards. I will have to seed or sod at my own expense, and deal with companies who I trust can restore my property. I always loved my front lawn, and now I see it as an eyesore and reminder of how something as simple as lawn cutting can cause such damage. Although I do not have receipts, I have saved emails from Craig attesting to the fact he looked after all of my lawncare.

We hired the Etobicoke franchise of The Gardener two years in a row. The 2nd year was a complete disappointment: on two occasions with 5in of snow in the driveway, they never showed up. No one answered the phone, no one returned the phone calls. We sent two letters via registered mail, no response, no refund. We filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau who could not reach them, either. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I can't say enough good things about Craig and his team! I love coming home to a beautifully maintained and neat garden and after working with a few other companies, Craig and his team are the only ones who can truly get the job done. Craig is one of the friendliest and most polite people I have had the pleasure doing business with. He is also very knowledgeable about suggestions and always suggest fiar & reasonable prices. Keep up the great work!!

I used their services last summer for my lawn. Their prices were very reasonable and affordable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I was very impressed with the results, my lawn looked fantastic! I would highly recommend The Gardener for anyone's outdoor maintenance needs.

After a nightmare, trying to find realiable service in our area, we found The Gardener. They were servicing some of our neighbors. Since starting with us, we have recommended them to many of our friends/neighbors

We used the Gardener a couple of years ago for our yearly maintenance of our lawn. The owner was very nice and responded quite quickly and seem to be caring. The problem wa sthta there was a lot of turn around or they hired students so the job was not consistent. Too much hand holding and explaining the staff on what needs to be done. We do have a very big backyard and they need some direction

We tried their snow removal service. They were very professional and on time and several homes in the area use the service. They are kind of pricey but the service is well worth it. One thing is that they don't come to your home if the snow is "light". It has to be more than 3cm before they come to your home.
