In the summer of 2015, my wife and I were looking to replace our 20 year original roof. Like most people, I asked friends and family for any referrals and got one or two. I then decide to use the Homestars and check the reviews of people who have has their roofs replaced recently.
I found a lot of companies and after reviewing my choices, I picked 6-7 roofers to get estimates.First, from the 6-7 roofers, only 5 returned my call and one company would not come unless I let him in to go into my attic and see the condition of the insulation or wood. No other roofer requested that.
Some estimates were extremely high and some were extremely low which worried and scared my wife and I. We were knew to this and we had a current budget to spend and we wanted to make sure that the money was spent properly. Because of the scary experience we decide to wait till Fall.
Fall came around and the roof was getting worse and would not last during the winter months. After doing our research and getting a few more estimates , we came across The Cutting Edge Roofing.
What a pleasure to talk too. They were so courteous and very home friendly on the phone. Dealing with the owners wife, Tracie-Marie at first, she explained everything about the company( family business past down from generation to generation), product they use and their services, very knowledgeable and polite. She was amazing and it was a great start to a business relationship. So we asked for an estimate. Within 2-3 days, the owner, Robert himself came to the house, climb onto my roof with our permission and took @15 pictures of our roof to show us how bad it was and what he recommends. He also provided me with brochures and details of what will be done, different products that we can use and warranty time frame with all the products. It was very professionally done and explained, true honestly was felt.
After reviewing all the estimates we had, we decide to pick the The Cutting Edge roofing and we are so grateful and pleased that we did make that choice. Two weeks later, the roofers came to the house. It was amazing to see the crew and the owner himself was there to help with the project. It is very hard to find companies where the owner is involved with the crew and their work. Robert Landry takes deep pride in his work and provides quality work that shows in the end result with craftsmanship.
My wife and I are truly thankful for the amazing work that Robert and his crews did. They pride and craftsmanship has made our house stand out from our neighbors and people stop and ask about our roof.
We would like to thank Robert, the owner, Tracie-Marie, his wife and the crew, Bill, Johnny, Tyler, Jim and Daniel. Also thank you to the crew for installing the eavestroughs and the siding above the garage on the small window. Amazing job done from the beginning on the phone till the end when all the cleaning was done. Robert even offered to come back and re-clean anything that was missed- not too many companies do that.
