We've had our ducts cleaned twice by Advanpro. The initial service its the one that included installation of two humidifiers on the furnaces. That is the occasion on which it cost us over $2,600. After a few weeks of not seeing any change in humidity in our house, I called Advanpro to send technicians to see what the problem was. They came and could not figure out the problem. I contacted the humidifier manufacturer a few weeks later, as our humidity was still 25% or less. They also could not figure out what the issue might be. It is now two years later we finally figured out that some of the components of the humidifiers have been improperly installed. Advanpro was very good with customer service, sending technicians to fix the issue at once. I read in previous reviews that some of the technicians tend to upsell their services when they come to provide duct cleaning. We had the exact same issue with a technician actually claiming that our furnace was creating carbon deposits which alarmed me so I agreed to the extra cleaning services. After I did some extensive research on the possibility of carbon deposits I realized that there was absolutely no situation in which your furnace actually creates carbon. We called Advanpro to express our dissatisfaction with the advice provided by the technician and we were reimbursed part of the cost of the unscheduled services. Generally, I would say Advanpro provides excellent customer service, but they need to retrain some of their technicians to not try to sell products and services that are not necessary. I would also suggest that they retrain some of their technicians so that initial products such as humidifiers, are installed correctly.
