first if you wondering why i put 1 star because they're good at the beginning till they get your money after that you are all by your self. Oh man i swear that i have the paper and everything i wish i can post them here.. WORST company ever I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company. ,,, to be fair they're good at taking at the beginning and so sweet with you when it comes to your payment and getting your info. But after that i don't know what happened they're different i feel they dont want to answer my calls or want to help me they are the worst on scheduling your shipment.. (((((( at the beginning they were so nice but later they were laughing at me !!!???? Seriously )))) because i kept calling 3 days in a row and asking where is my stuff because they told me they gonna call me within 2 days and now 3 days left and i haven't received any calls from them why they're doing this... and the funny thing is that when i call they put me on hold for more than 5-10 min or more and then they told me oh we gonna call you back ( they don't call back ). or they pass me to another one and they just keep passing the line to another agent.. when it comes to money they follow you even in your email asking for payment but when it comes to your shipment they don't and if you follow behind them and ask for your shipment they find it weird if you keep calling ( i know its annoying but i have to do this in order getting my stuff ) i really have important files and things that i need .

Absolutely horrific experience, and its not done yet! Booked a move from Hamilton, ON to Calgary AB with Erin from Greenland. Delivery pickup was scheduled for July 23, which went rather smoothly. We were told that Greenland would be calling us the morning of the 24th to confirm what day our stuff would be moved by TRAIN, and how we would pay. This call did not happen. As we were driving out to Alberta, we finally got to speak to someone who informed us that our delivery was not leaving until we paid in full, plus an additional $1500 for more weight (the weight slip was never shown to us). We paid in full, and still have not received our belongings. It is now the 18th of August, and we were promised our items in 5-7 business days. This company is great when booking and sounds professional, but once they have your items, you cannot get ahold of them. You sit on hold for over 20 minutes to have them hang up on you, or tell you that the person you want to speak with is out of the office or on the other line. This person, or any other person, NEVER calls you back. They have caused so many problems for us, and think that apologies are going to be enough. My son's medical supplies are on that truck, and they don't seem to care. Please do not hire this company...you will not receive the common courtesy of a phone call or be able to locate any of your stuff. You will overpay and not receive your stuff. We are terrified at this point that our stuff has been lost and I have called the RCMP to make a police report, although this is a civil matter and we need to hire a lawyer. What a joke! Do yourself a favour and stay clear of this company!!!

Worse move ever. Showed up for 8AM apt at 11PM. Said they'd meet me at the storage facility 2x3 times but didn't, didn't call and in total, I waited 18 hours for them. We are trying to get our stuff now, 2 months later, and so far, no luck. Horrible company.

I have had a horrible experience with this mover. The mover was scheduled to arrive between 4pm - 7pm, they arrived at 1030pm. No one was available to let them into the house at that time. When I called to reschedule the move they informed me that they would not return to my location for a pick up and that I would be reimbursed my $100 deposit. When I tried to speak to my moving rep on the phone he would not return my calls or emails. Two weeks went by without the deposit being returned. I called in and had to demand that the refund was made immediately. I was provided with an authorization number, fingers crossed the refund comes through in the next couple of days. There customer service was the worst I have ever received. They may be able to offer the most competitive price, but trust me it's not worth it.

Moving with this company was the worst experience of my life. Never got a straight answer about when my goods would be delivered at our home in Halifax. Blackmailed me into paying $18,000 on the spot or they would take my furniture off of the truck. Movers showed up on Wednesday after we finally got a commitment that it would be Monday or Tuesday. 2 men and 18 thousand pounds of furniture despite promises of a crew of four. Movers were there until midnight, did not unpack as per the contract and what I paid for. I had a special collection of beers. They took one and I found the empty can in the ditch the next day. I hope they enjoyed a 10 year old skunky beer. Interestingly enough we can't get Greenland to return any of our calls now. Consistent throughout our experience with them was the absolute worst customer service ever. Everyone was telling us stories upon stories. Under no circumstances should anyone use this company.

We hired this company even though they were not the lowest price because they guaranteed they would move everything including our ATV's. They were 2 days late for pick up. Refused to load the ATV's. Refuse to respond to emails or calls. Then the driver calls saying my few belongings ( some IKEA bedframes and a small amount of boxes. No appliances or living room furniture) weighs almost 6000 lbs!!!!! They more than doubled the amount of the original quote and are asking about payment. I haven't even received the potion of belongings they did load. This company is costing me more than 4 times the quoted price! I have to find another means to acquire the rest of my belongings! It would have been cheaper to buy new instead! This company is ridiculous and dishonest!!! I will never recommend this so-called company to anyone!

The "Manager" SEAN, withdrew money from my credit card and told me there was nothing that could be done and hung up the phone on me. They have not been open for the amount of years they claim to be. The movers that come to help you move will actually talk down on this company because it is so poorly managed. They are not prompt and withdrew more then what should have been from my account and now is refusing to give it back. Next step is BBB. Small claims court. Their service is nasty, shady, and just disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of the crappiest companies I have ever dealt with!!! They called me to confirm that they coming to picking up my stuff but the next day they never showed up and when I called them one of them told me to stay on line to check but I waited for 20min for them to get back to me but never did so I recalled them but this time they hang up on me twice!!! thats not what a professional companies do to their customers! I would rate this company in the minus! how crappy they are never showing up even thou they charged me 100$ deposit! If I were you I would look for another company not this stupid company.

Despite reading the negative reviews about Greenland Moving, my experience with the company was all around very honest and professional. My mover Hakan and his partner were very organized and efficient, they were gentle with my belongings and wrapped everything to protect them from getting ruined. There is always a risk of furniture getting damaged when moving it across the country. They assured me they would do their best at protecting my stuff. These guys have really tough jobs and I think they feel just as great when the move is successful. After reading those reviews I was a bit nervous but I gave them a chance. I'm happy I did and now realize that sadly many people who are satisfied with Greenland's service do not take the time to write a positive review. That being said I can honestly say that I have not had any issue with them from the beginning all the way to the end. I would use this company again and also recommend it to others.

Never, never, never go with this company. I moved my family from Ab to Ontario last September and sold off much of my furniture and belongings to reduce the cost of my move. All I had for furniture was my dining room table, 8 chairs, a coffee table, an end table and one arm chair that had sentimental value, the rest was boxes and bins. Upon delivery I noticed right away that the arm chair was missing and told the company. I made a claim online as well but not one ever dealt with the issue. No one returned phone calls or emails when they said they would. For seven months I have been trying to get compensation. I finally talked to Brian in claims and he told me that all he could give me was 50 dollars for customer appreciation. I am very angry. Do not use this company.
