    Broken Dishwasher

Just awful company and more expensive that any other repair company in Hamilton. I was told by a customer representative that there would be a $80 diagnostic fee to determine the problem. After that if we decide to go with the repair, the $80 would be waived and a set labour cost would be apply (which was $290 for me). I asked the technician what the $290 included and he told me all labour necessary to repair the dishwasher regardless of how long it would take. What it didn't cover was the price of any parts needed for the repair. I thought this was quite expensive, but agreed to it. After taking 30 minutes to figure out the problem he told me the problem was my drain pump but luckily for me he had one in his truck. He told me the price of the drain pump was $350 but he was going to give it to me for $180. Me being naïve to the world of dishwashers agreed and was thankful. I was also suppose to get a $15 new customer discount but he wouldn't give it to me because of the discount he gave me on the part. So those coupons you see in their website are really for show and can't be actually used. The whole process seemed strange and once he left I did some research and found the part online for only $85 and realized that I had been overcharged and basically screwed over. I called customer care and they told me that I was indeed charged correctly because the extra $180 was for the part and the service I would potentially receive during the 45 day warranty period. So another labour charge, but this time for labour that might not even happen. She mentioned she would bring it up my concerns to higher management, but we all know that means nothing. All in all, this company is overly expensive and I would NOT RECOMMEND them to anyone. I made the mistake of choosing their company because they came up first on google and I couldn't remember the appliance company I used in the past. Won't happen again. Lesson Learned!! Like I said, DO NOT choose this company, I have used other companies in the past that are much better at their job and have reasonable rates. Hope this post helps someone make a better decision than I did. Probably should have bought a new dishwasher. LOL !!!

Technician has no experience of the stove and messed it up

I had ignitor issues on my gas stove that need to be replaced as the ignitors keep sparking even if the burner is on. The first technician replaced the spark module (~$600), and fiddle a few things and made it worked for a few days and same problem came back. He came back, fiddle a few more things and it worked for another few days. A new technician was then sent and asked to replaced all burners with the ignitors (~$1800). I said to the technician that the flame looks at least 40% weaker than it originally was. He started making up some story saying the new part is more efficient so the flame looks smaller. In a few days, I smell gas when I turn on the stove. I took the my top panels off and lighted my burners and found 3 out of 4 burners were leaking when they they are turned on. My house could have blown up if I did not check myself. I tightened the hoses myself and then look for another manufacturer recommended tech to look. He immediately said it could be the orifices are too smaller in the new part. Luckily, I kept the old parts and he replaced them using those from my old burners and now everything is fine. I also asked him how much it would have costed for replacing just the ignitors and he said roughly $65 parts for each plus 15 minutes labour. So I have paid over $2000 more for nothing.

    Washing Machine Repair

This company is a horrible. During booking they tell you that they will charge only $80 for technician to come over and diagnose the problem and after that they will tell you what is wrong with it. When Technician comes, he told me that he will service 3 areas of washing machine and everything will be fine. He was on phone for 5 minutes and didn't do much (opened 2 screws, looked around and that's it). After 5 minutes he told me that my circuit board is broken and it will cost me $700. In 5 minutes, he just charged me $350 for nothing. When I reported this on Customer care, they told me that they have been given a script to say this during the booking. So clearly, its a trick they are doing over the years.

    Clothes dryer repair

Like so many others I wish I had read these reviews before proceeding with this company. Similar experience - I was naïve and paid almost $500 only to find that five minutes after the 'technician' left the problem they claimed to have repaired happened again and continues to happen.

    Buyer Beware

BUYER BEWARE!!! I really wish I had read the reviews online as well with the BBB regarding this company. My washing machine broke, and I was told it was an $80 charge just to show up and diagnose. The technician said that he could try to reset the motherboard *and that would probably work*. If it didn't work, I would require an additional part. I asked how much the part would be and he was very vague.. anywhere between $200-400. I said ok lets try the reset. The reset didn't work. He then told me the part would be $600. I said NO THANKS but still had to pay the $316 for him to tell me it couldn't be fixed without this expensive part. I looked up the part I needed - it is $229 online, not even close to being $600.

    do not trust this company

Paid $280 for a supposed refrigerator repair. Technician told me 'all was up and running' and I should wait 24 hours for the unit to cool. 5 days later and no cooling. The company claims they offer a 30 day warranty on labour. Which is nonsense. They would not honour the warranty nor refund the service fee. Look elsewhere for appliance repair.

    Incompetent freezer repair.

This company takes advantage of customers ignorant of how appliances work by recommending highest possible cost solutions, and then provides terrible follow-up when their supposed solution was not the correct one. I have never experienced such incompetent, unhelpful, unsatisfactory service.

    Stay away at all cost.

Called for freezer repair, told $80.00 after 3 minutes of looking at machine tech upped the price to "diagnose" to $320.00 Told us we needed a $438 part. Which we ordered, only to discover 2 days after the tech was here, he had unplugged our 2nd perfectly working freezer. All food spoiled and a mess left. Called the company to complain and ask what they would do. Elona at phone call center replied " We can't know it was us that unplugged it" Took ZERO responsibility, we went away the same evening for 2 nights and nobody was home. We know for a FACT it was your service worker Matt. Their work order clearly states that I acknowledge the appliance and surroundings have been left in good condition. Did I honestly believe I would have to go see what he unplugged and left unplugged ??? I only wish I had read the hundreds of BBB complaints, HomeStars reviews and the CTV news report on this company. Stay away at all costs.

    Terrible Service!

Terrible service. Our experience is very similar to the other negative reviews. We only wish we had read all this before calling! They have constantly rescheduled appointments and the technician left us with a washing maching that wouldn't open! When we called to get him to come back and fix it, they kept us waiting almost a week! And after all that, we will probably have to buy a new washer.

    Dryer repair

Don't touch this company. It has no HST registration # and none charged on parts and labour just round figures. Labour quote $280 parts quote $150. Total $450 ???. The total was $645.80, then crossed out. Tax was $52.85, then crossed out. Then the total was $502.85, then crossed out. Paid was $450. When I talked to the company they hung up on me. Makes me doubtful of their service competence.
