    Furnace Install

    We have used this company three times and was always left amazed and satisfied with the quality of product, professional and responsive customer service. The true mark of this company are the technicians that come to our home. We recently had a new furnace installed and technicians Brad and Andrew are true professionals. I would recommend this company hands down.

    New Furnace and air conditioning installed

    My furnace died, leaving me in a tough spot during a recent cold snap. While I interviewed 4 different contractors, these guys stood out immediately as polished and professional. The salesperson, Kevin, was informative, knowledgeable and not at all pushy, and efficiently came to an easy-to-understand quote. He even immediately engaged the third party energy auditor and booked an appointment on the spot. The company then was able to shuffle other customers who weren't in a no heat situation to accommodate me, and showed up when they said they would. The two installers were excellent, efficient, and friendly. I sat through the entire job with them and watched the work, and they politely answered all of my questions even though very busy. When some unforeseen changes happened, the main furnace installer (second installer worked on air conditioning which I also replaced) Mike adjusted with a minimum of fuss, and it was obvious from watching him work that's he's very good at what he does and takes pride in his work. Summers and Smith wasn't the least expensive quote I was given, but if you want a quality install by a company that operates professionally and with a minimum of bulls**t, I'd recommend them and would gladly call them again for other work. I can tell you from having over 20 contractors in to quote over the past year for various projects (older home) that these guys operate the way you expect someone too, as compared to some real head-shakers I encountered -- which seems to be unfortunately becoming the norm.

    Fantastic!!! New Furnace, Air Conditoner & Water Heater

    We found this company on Home Stars and on the Lennox website for Authorized Lennox dealers, going solely on their reviews and ratings online we decided to hire them. Talk about a superb experience from start to finish! We hire a lot of contractors to do work at our home, and its very rare to have such an excellent experience from start to finish. We first called Summers & Smith after being taken advantage of by our previous water heater rental company. Summers & Smith came onsite informed us of where we were being taken advantage of and even fixed the damage to our AC unit that the previous company did by wiring our AC backwards at no charge! They completely cleaned up our furnace room in a very tidy organized way, our new furnace looks great, out new AC looks great our house is so much more comfortable and modernized. Our install was done by Dave & Dylan - these guys are FANTASTIC nothing but good things to say about these guys! Work very clean, very polite, super friendly - EXCELLENT around our young kids - just a stellar stellar job! Great great crew they work so well together. Thanks guys so much for what you did for us, true professionals and we are very happy with what you did at our home. All the best to you guys thanks for being so respectful and tidy in our home.

    Excellent customer service

    My family has been dealing with Summers and Smith for years. For home service as well as at our business. We have always had excellent customer service. Most recently we have been dealing with Scott, he is great. Knowledgable, prompt and friendly. S&S are quick to send someone out in an emergency and get us up and running again. Great company!

    New furnace

    Old furnace broke down, called Summers and Smith for a quote. Blair was very informative and helpful. They were quick to response and replace the furnace the next day once we accepted the quote. Scott and Bryan, the installers were professional, clean and quick. Took the time to answer any questions we had. Highly recommend Summers and Smith. Looking forward to them servicing and maintaining our new furnace.

    Gas Stove Top Hook Up and Fireplace Inspection

    Scott, of Summers & Smith was a life saver for us. We had purchased a dual fuel range to replace an old electric one we had had for many years. We had a gas outlet in the kitchen from the original builder and thought it would be no problem to hook up the new range to the outlet. However, we didn’t realize until the machine was delivered that our new range had a cover in the middle of its rear which limited the optimal locations for the gas pipe to be run along the left side of the wall and the electric cord along the right side. However, on our wall, both outlets were centred. A previous contractor had suggested that the only way we could make the current set-up work was to relocate our gas outlet to the left of the wall and use an electrician to move the 240V electric outlet to the right. Scott was extremely positive in all his dealings with us. Always smiling and always showing empathy for potential issues that arose. He was also very creative. He had the idea to lower the gas outlet without using any new materials, instead of moving it, and he was also able to flip the electric outlet 180 degrees so that it wasn’t in the way of the gas valve. This way both the gas line and the electric cord could be snaked below the middle cover and weren’t in the way of one another. His solution also allowed the entire range to be pushed flush against the wall. He did a great job for us, in a short time, with minimal materials, and because we didn’t have to call an electrician we saved a lot of money. We also had Scott clean our two fireplaces that same morning. He was very efficient and responsible. As he was putting together the invoice, he noticed that the glass door on one of the fireplaces had become a bit cloudy again. He immediately disassembled the door and cleaned it a second time without charging us for the extra time. He was very thoughtful, knowledgeable and thorough. He was also very customer oriented and thought outside the box, saving us both time and money. A HUGE thank you to Scott and to Summers & Smith for employing amazing people.

    HRV Installation

    We have used Summers and Smith for years, in our old house and again in our new home. They have always been excellent in sales, service and installation. Recently we experienced condensation on our windows as the colder weather arrived. We contacted Summers and Smith to discuss possible solutions. We were put in touch with Blair in sales, who was very helpful with helping us decide which unit would best fit our needs. When Summers and Smith makes appointments it has been our experience that they keep to the promised time as close as possible, which we appreciate because we generally have to take time off from work for these visits. When it came time for the install, Carlos and Andrew the installers, were here on time. They were very conscientious in their work, taking care not to leave our home a mess. The install work is very professional looking as well. I do maintenance work for a living, and appreciate the attention to detail and professional care they take doing their job. I would not hesitate to use Summers and Smith again as needed. I also would recommend them to anyone needing any home heating or cooling work done.

    annual furnace cleaning & repairs

    I have used this company for a number of years. They have always been straight with me. They make appointments & keep them. I have found them reliable & super helpful. Workers are polite, honest, & plain speaking about the work they do.

    New Lennox furnace

    Quoted by Blair Stanczuk on Thursday, installed by Dave and Dylan by Monday. The entire team was professional, competent and friendly. They even showed me why my old furnace had failed. I would absolutely recommend Summers & Smith to anyone looking for top quality service at a fair price!

    Furnace, AC , humidifier & air filter

    In the middle of this summers heat wave, our 35 (original) year old system died! We needed a complete new system & fast. We knew it was going to be expensive. Kevin thoroughly explained & answered questions about our needs, different options, & pricing in a polite & well thought out manner. As a result, we hired S&S. The installation crew were fabulous - no mess left behind. I highly recommend S&S for any job - big or small.
