    Kitchen tap and valve installation

Expensive but professional. I was hoping it was going to cost a whole lot less for the installation of a new faucet and valves. I purchased the tap online and figured it was going to be a snap to install. It took Cameron about three hours in total (removing the old one, installing cut-off valves). I'm not so happy with the cost, but happy with the work and service. I have had huge plumbing bills (replacing old clay pipe etc) over the last year. No getting away from it, good plumbing is essential but astronomically expensive.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks for the feed back, we work hard to provide exceptional plumbing service in a timely manor. Licensed professionals do come at a cost, but as you mentioned it is reflected in the work/service.

    Plumbing

Mathew was very, friendly, efficient, and professional. He found the problem quickly, and explained our options to solve it clearly. The cost was very reasonable. I've used Sewer Squad in the past and have been very happy with their crew and their work. I would happily reccomend them.

Main drain pipe investigated for future repair.

Had issue with small amount of water, after January rain, in basement. After a camera check and a locate. The main drain pipe will replace in 5 days. Perfect. Dwayne was polite, knowledgeable and supported my suggestion further for a roof cover over outdoor lower apartment stairway. Perfect Ps. New batteries help.

Thank you for the great review, we are always happy to hear any feedback back about members of our team. I'll pass along your kind words to Dwayne

NOT RELIABLE, very expensive, they will put you on hold

Very EXPENSIVE , Not RELIABLE, and they will keep you hanging in the middle so you dont have a choice bt pay. This is what happend. we picked them because of the reviews that we saw. They send mike right away on time to fix our clogged drainage, we are so impressed that he did it really fast using all his hightech gadgets. (camera etc). Then Mike informed us that we need to replace our pipe since it’s burst and there are roots coming inside the pipe that it will soon flood our basement, he even told us that we cant use our laundry, dish washer etc. or else it might flood our basment.WE GOT SO SCARED and let him do it right away. we agreed even we know its TOO EXPENSIVE ($2,800) for just a small pipe to be installed including the valve, WE AGREED even if we know there are other plumbing company that can give us much lower price.in short WE TRUST THEM. They dig a hole under our basement and repalced the pipe , then told us that there’s more to be fix that all our pipe extending outside are damage too (why didn’t he told us before they start digging our basement?? SOMETHING FISHY RIGHT??) and since our sewage is open then we cant do anything else and we cant back out. MIKE even said it will cost us a lot if we dont do it now. (THEY EVEN PRESSURE US THAT MAKES US SO SCARED) SO AGAIN WE AGREED .. and They dont want to close the hole in our basement for a lot reasons to many to tell,(Makes it more questionable) (we just want it to to be done and out of fear of possible flooding) we AGREED AGAIN even if this will cost us almost $9,000 to fix the pipe outside. WE HAVE NO CHOICE SINCE THEY DIG A HOLE ON OUR BASEMENT AND THEY LEFT IT OPEN. they PROMISED TO FINISHED IT IN 3 Days. but up to now they are not coming to fix it its been more than a week now and nothing started, they have so many reasons and they keep on rescheduling.. up to now Maybe THEY KNOW WE CANT GET OTHER COMPANY TO TAKE OVER THEIR UNFINISHED JOB THATS WHY THEY LEFT IT OPEN UPTO NOW OUR SEWER IN THE BASEMENT IS OPEN AND SMELLING FOR MORE THAN A WEEK NOW AND STILL THEY KEEP ON POSTPONING THEIR JOB IF YOU DONT WANT TO PAY A LOT OF MONEY and lessen your STRESS, BETTER FIND OTHER PLUMBING COMPANY WHO CAN DO A BETTER JOB THAN THEM.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We take any feed back very serious and have looked into your concerns. We take full responsibility for the poor communication regarding the secondary start date for the additional work needed outside. That was with out question our fault and we've taken the necessary steps to make sure it doesn't happen again. That being said, the timing of your job (right around Christmas and New Years) contributed to the delay. Getting locates (a mandatory step in all outside excavations) at this time was difficult for your job and all other jobs we had going on. This definitely slowed us down and contributed to the numerous delays. In terms of pricing, our records show different numbers and as we only completed the back water valve and the price was under $2500 after HST. Regarding the outside additional work for a 10' deep excavation and a pipe burst (trenchless technology, pulling pipe using hydraulic equipment from inside to outside) we quoted an additional $5080 plus HST, a very fair price for the amount of work needed. Total cost for the sewer replacement was under $8300 after tax and then we assist with the city rebate of $1250 making out of pocket cost Approximately $7000. This is a middle of the road to lower end price tag in our industry for the work quoted. Last, we take accusations of high pressure sales tactics VERY serious. Our technicians are trained regularly on how to deliver information regarding your plumbing/drain issues in a factual manor only. Our opinion is that it's your house and your money and only you will decide how you want to proceed. We only give you facts on how the systems looks and functions with any recommended repairs. We leave it up to you the homeowner to deceive what steps to take. I believe our other reviews on HomeStars and Google prove our policies and procedures and the standard we have set for our company. If you have any further complaints or concerns please feel free to contact Phil at 9056837584 Thank you

    fix clogged toilet

Vince came to fix my clogged toilet. we decided that he needs to remove the toilet and try to clear the pipe under the toilet. we agreed the price would be $400 dollars to clear the pipe. But what happened is his machine could not even go into my 2 inch cast iron pipe. He insist on charge me $400 dollars, just for bring out his equipment and could not even fix the issue. In addition, he try to sell me a plumbing project for $4000 dollars. Finally they give me a discount of $120 dollars. I paid $280 dollars for nothing. Nothing is fixed. Later on, I called another plumber, they fixed the issue without even need to remove the toilet and for much cheaper price. Overall, i would not recommend their service.

    Saved the day!

Last spring, a massive thaw resulted n some intense melting in our backyard. We have backyard walkout from the basement and the water was literally gushing down the steps to the sump pump drain which eventually failed. We watched the water rise really fast. We called Sewer Squad at 10pm on a Friday night and they arrived within the hour to prevent a massive basement flood. They were able to redirect the water to the street drain and save us the cost and headache of having to deal with water damage. VERY happy with the service and will use again.

    Quick and professional free estimate

We had Sewer Squad come in to provide us a quote on what we thought was a water leak and turned out to be something else. Camilo was professional and courteous, and took the time to explain what he felt was the best course of action for our issue. He was patient and thoroughly went through what was wrong and everything I showed him Even though we did not use them for their plumbing services, I will be certain to make them my first call for any future needs. Their confirmation text message was the best I've ever seen!

    Sewage Drain Repair

Vince from Sewer Squad and my experience with Sewer Squad was excellent. He was polite, courteous, expedient, caring and genuinely wanted to help. Overall, their customer service was excellent throughout the whole process of unblocking the original clay pipe, excavation and installation of a new plastic floor drain. The one thing that was not excellent was their referral of the company who they called immediately for emergency cleanup. That company's project management and communication was very poor and disorganized. Sewer Squad should only partner with companies as strong as themselves.
