The workers cleaned up after they were finished and helped me with the new thermostat. I could not have asked for any better service than what I was given. Service person couldn't have been better, he was polite, knowledgeable, personable and intelligent, fixed up our problem promptly and gave us other important information about our hot water system. Can't believe I called and within a couple of hours he arrived and this issue was resolved. We don't see service and personnel this good these days. I've seen a lot of negative reviews for Reliance, so I thought I'd add my positive review. Sales guy Prafull was very helpful on quoting and installation of a new furnace and heat pump, and answered all my questions quickly. He was very knowledgeable about heat pumps, government rebates, etc. He even arranged for the required third party energy audit (needed for heat pump rebates) at short notice. Communication was through a rather bewildering mix of phone, text and email, but hey, I'll take communication over no communication any day. Installation happened very quickly (within a couple of days of me deciding). Khalil and ? (sorry, forgot your name!) arrived on time, did the job with a minimum of fuss and mess, regardless of snow and sub-zero temperatures. It took a bit longer than anticipated due to some unforeseen circumstances out of their control. They explained the system and the smart thermostat. All in all, pretty happy with their work, and Reliance in general.Answer from pro:

Our 10y old gas furnace stopped working in the middle of a very cold snap of weather. Reliance Home Comfort arranged for a technician (Farooq) to visit later in the evening to diagnose the issue etc. Farooq was very thorough and systematic in testing the furnace to identify where the issue lay. He also did an additional visual inspection of all the components, explained step by step what he was doing and what each result meant. It turns out it will be more cost effective to replace the 10y old furnace. It was helpful to have Farooq walk me through the process and the rationale to provide reassurance that it was the sensible decision.Answer from pro:

BEWARE! I have been waiting over a month for a response from ANYBODY from Reliance customer service. I have called and sent several emails to their customer service department. I have tried to get through to a manager but they refuse to connect me. They tell me that the only way it can be done is for a customer services representative to contact management and request a response to my concerns. NOTHING! I have heard nothing. I have a plugged kitchen sink. A Reliance technician came, tried to unclog it and told me he couldn't do it. He said I had no choice but to pay extra for a hydro flush. I pay for the annual plumbing plan but of course, this is not covered under this plan! He didn't have the proper equipment so I had to book another date He returned, without the machine (even though he knew he was coming over and needed the hydro flush machine). He had to go to the shop to get the machine. A full hour later, he showed up with the machine, only to realize that it wasn't working!!. He told me he would have to leave and return when the machine was repaired. He told me that they would not return unless I signed the paperwork to say the work had been completed. Even though, the work had not been done and it was not our fault at all. I made the mistake of signing. Now they won't come back unless I pay the bill $379.00 plus tax, for work that has not been done!! It is beyond frustrating. The technician told us that they are under intense pressure to bill. It's obvious that Reliance does not care about it's clients. I will be cancelling the monthly plumbing plan. Beware!!! I want to warn others. I have been a Reliance customer for over 10 years. I've been out of hot water for 6 days and I'm renting a hot water tank from reliance and apparently they can't fix it until next week... totally unacceptable but that's the best they can do. they say they can't get a new tank but l'm able to get a new one at multiple locations but they won't honour anything that doesn't come from one of their supplierswowat the price they charge and their promise to get the repairs done within 24 hours, I would definitely not recommend this company especially that I've had the same problem 4 times since DecemberAnswer from pro:
