    Water Heater

I bought a new home in the spring and inherited a Reliance water heater contract. Late this summer, the water heater started acting up and developed a slow leak. When Reliance came to inspect it, they informed me that the water heater was 22 years old and needed to be replaced. I expressed my desire to terminate the contract and purchase a new water heater outright, but the service technician said they dont offer that option. The next day, I bought a new water heater from another company, which agreed to install the new water heater and return the old one to Reliance, as Reliance charges a $65.00 fee for pick-up. I called Reliance again, explained the situation, and asked how to return the old water heater. They explained to me the process and emailed me a drop-off location and a link to a form that needed to be filled out and submitted when dropping off the water heater. I printed and filled out the form, but when the service technician from the other company tried to drop off the old water heater, they refused to accept it. They said the form I had was preliminary and needed to be submitted online first, after which they would email me an approval form within 24 hours. This was not mentioned in the email from Reliance, nor during my previous call to Reliance. After another 90 minutes on the phone with Reliance, I finally spoke to a manager. I explained that I could no longer transport the water heater to their drop-off location as it wouldnt fit in my car. Given that I had followed their instructions, I expected them to pick up the old water heater free of charge. The manager eventually agreed and approved the free pick-up. The next day, a service technician picked up the old water heater and gave me a receipt for $0.00. I thought that was the end of it, but three weeks later, I received a final bill from Reliance Home Comfort: $17.96 for the last rental charges and $65.00 for the pick-up and transportation fee. You know what, Im going to pay it. Its worth paying the $65.00 to terminate our relationship and the peace of mind in knowing that I will never have to deal with Reliance Home Comfort ever again.

Waiting for so long but the tecnician did not show up

I pay $70 for maintence plan including ecltrical, plumbing and furnace for each house. I own two houses, so I pay $1680 yearly to Reliance. Today the Electrical tecnician was scheduled to come between 10 AM and 2:00 PM. However, I called them several time but no technican showed up until now at 3:51 PM. Very disrespectful customer service. They don't even call you if they are late.

    Annual Heating and A/C Maintenance

I had our annual Heating & A/C Preventive maintenance done by Ryan. I always request Reliance to send this gentleman to do this service because of past experience with him Ryan is terrific, very professional, very knowledgeable and very customer orientated. Takes the time to explain what he has done and why. He is someone whose advice and suggestions I trust & respect because I know it is given in the customers best interest. A credit to Reliance, thank you Ryan

Furnace service call and new install.

Woke up this morning at discovered furnace fan wasnt working. Called Reliance 24hr line. Service rep picked up right away. Had service call booked that morning. Turns out I needed a new furnace. Sales rep arrived a few hours later and bought a new furnace. Very helpful from the get go. Booked in for the following Monday. Highly recommend this company.

    Hot water tank replacement

24 year old tank/$11,000.00 paid to reliance over this time. Water tank started to flood basement. New piping required for new tank. Over $600.00. Had tank replaced. Called looking for some kind of credit due to age of tank I was still using. $30.00 credit is what they will give me. Said I would cancel and was told there would a charge to cancel and have their tank taken out. I also had to replace all my taps because of plastic breakdown on the water heater. They were given a 1 rating because of the great service employees. 24 year old tank

Don't rent anything from this company if you don't want to get headache

I terminated my A/C rental agreement with this company 3 months ago. The equipment has been already return to them. However, they don't close the rental account and keep sending me bills month after months. I called the company's customer service many time to ask them close that account and let them know that I don't own them anything. Each time I call, I have to wait for the phone transfer from one agent to another. When they have someone to talk with me, they always promise to fix this issue. But eventually nothing changes. Now they are still send bills to me. For someone who looks for renting A/C any HVAC equipment, please be advised NOT to do any business with this company.

Damaged heat duct and did not fix properly

Damaged our heat duct while installing new water heater. Came back to fix it and just smashed it around so that the vent would fit back on. Now a big gap exists between duct and wall (so heat escapes into wall ) not good service at all.

    NEW HVAC

I called Reliance about a thermostat problem for my HVAC on Sunday late afternoon Sept 8 and the technician showed up on Monday at 1.00 pm to check the cause and determined that the furnace had to be shut down, and called Jason who came immediately to review the situation. Upon his explanation, I decided to replace the complete HVAC system at the earliest time. He immediately checked the available inventory of all the equipment and made me an offer that I could not refuse, booked the removal of the 14 year old HVAC and installation of the new system for today Sept 10, All works were completed by 4.00 pm to my total satisfaction. Thanks Jason and your teams.
