I waited several weeks for a custom order of blinds from DK (Drapery King). Finally picked up the order and took it home. On unboxing, I found several parts missing. Asked DK to supply the missing parts. They wanted me to chase their supplier. I said, 'No. You fix this.' Five days later I finally got A grudging 'OK, bring the order back to us." I asked 3 times "And when can I get it back?" Finally got the answer "Don'[t know." At that stage I'd wasted a month. Gave up on DK and installed without the missing pieces.

A&J Windows and Doors were a delight to deal with. They were endlessly patient with my questions and requests, gave straight forward honest answers without attempts at upsell, did a great installation and delivered MORE than they had promised - a rare gem.

I bought a fridge from CAS. The salesman, Sidd, was informative and helpful. The delivery truck was trackable throughout the day of delivery which was wonderful, and the delivery team was excellent.

My hot water tank stopped functioning. I called Climax and Sam arrived the same day. He diagnosed the problem - the ignitor sensor, had the spare part on hand, replaced the old part and had our hot water tank up and running swiftly. Sam is terrific to work with: prompt, neat, friendly, knowledgeable and quick. I highly recommend him.

Peter at the Floor Shop did the in-house measuring and estimation for us and discussed options with me. It was an immediate confidence builder - he knew his stuff and his input was extremely helpful to the decision making process. His team of installers - Voitek and Patrick - did a VERY nice looking installation that everyone has commented on. This include taking apart and later reassembling a very large, complex custom desk installation that had to be cleared out of the way until the new floor was in place. All in all this was a great experience and I have already recommended The Floor Shop to friends.

I was tired of forgetting to switch on my existing in-ground sprinklers, and tired of forgetting to put out sprinklers on the boulevard strip. The lawn was looking more moth-eaten every year. Richard replaced a broken existing in-ground sprinkler, put new in-ground sprinklers on the boulevard strip and tied old and new sprinklers to a great programmable timer system. Now the lawn looks after itself and I don't have to remember it. Richard and crew were a delight to work with. Great communications , great work and a great result. Extra kudos to them because some of the buried phone cables were not where the cable technicians had market them to be. Nevertheless Richard and crew probed to be doubly sure and were able to avoid them. Nice job.

The gas control valve on our water heater failed and we had no hot water. Climax Air Conditioning showed up within an hour of our call, they had the replacement part, they confirmed that the cost of the replacement part was still covered by manufacturer's warranty, and rapidly installed the replacement. Very professional.

I had a recessed lighting repair. Pavel from Java Electric turned up on time, was extremely helpful and did the job much more quickly than I had expected. All in all a very positive experience. Thanks, Pavel.

I had an old hot water tank break down beyond repair on the weekend. I contacted Max on a Sunday. He came by the same day to discuss options, we agreed on the way forward and he installed the new tank the very next day.
