This is the second time I hired this company for a problem with rats. The first time they were excellent, they baited and helped located the entrance of the rats and sealed it with cement. This second time have really fallen short. Bait was put all through my kitchen and basement and after two weeks the rats disappeared- but then they came back. And guess what, it took GTA wildlife 4 days to find the time to come back- meanwhile I had rats running in and out of my kitchen during that time. When I have asked them to help me figure out how the rats are coming in the answer is "We don't know." And when I asked them to help me find the entrance way they told me to call a contractor.

I did have a problem with a couple of technicians from this company but it was very professionally resolved and I'll continue to use this excellent termite control company for my house termite warranty. I especially recommend Richard for his thorough and friendly yearly checks.

I decided to rent a water heater from Reliance at $ 19.94 per month without being informed the contract was for 7 years! When they sent it to me, I said I hadn't agreed to 7 years and hadn't signed anything. They told me they would search their phone records as I must have verbally agreed! I laughed and told them I would never have verbally agreed and in any case a verbal agreement is not sufficient for them to hold me to the contract and I wanted to terminate. In the mean time they have sent me a buyout option for $1070plus HST! The heater they installed is listed at Home Depot for less than $400. So I'm not recommending any one rent a water heater from this company!

Renting from Enercare is a nightmare. Their customer service policy is to trick customers into paying for more services rather than to actually provide any services. On the phone and in person, they are rude and unhelpful. When I finally had enough and decided to return their tank and switch to Reliance, they did everything possible to make things difficult for me. Reliance had my hot water tank but not a cancellation form with my signature on it. I called Enercare and asked if I could email the form and they said No. I asked if I could fax the form and they said No. I asked if I could mail it- Ijust wanted to save the Reliance technician another trip. Again, they said No and that they would not only not accept my tank return, but continue billing me if I didn't send it with this form. Well, they will get their form. But not any more of my business.

Last year I registered for the heating maintenance plan but was disappointed by the technician's lack of training. The plan was automatically renewed without my consent and now Direct Energy is saying I can't cancel without paying a years worth of fees. This is in direct breach of the ontario consumer protection act. When I have spoken to direct energy representatives they are aggressive and threatening. I am really disgusted with this company.
