Bledi and Olsi were terrific. First off, they travelled over an hour for my very small job. Not everyone would do that. They fixed and repositioned a very leaky eavestrough and even did a few extras that werent part of the original deal. I was so impressed with their work that I brought them back to change some downspouts and install leaf guards. At one point, they told me that I could save money by not installing leaf guards on the garage and cleaning out those eavestroughs myself. Kudos to them for trying to save me some money. They they were quick and efficient in their work and went the extra mile - installing some extra parts at no charge to ensure that everything held on my 100 year old house and the job would be successful long term. Both Bledi & Olsi really seem to enjoy doing the work and interacting with the customer. Thats a very different attitude from many contractors Ive dealt with. I will happily use them again for any eavestrough/downspout work, and highly recommend them.

Albi was first to respond to the Homestars service request - the first example of his excellent and timely communication. We scheduled a visit. I felt right away that he knew his stuff and would be easy to work with. While other contractors were thrown off by the age of the windows (1985) and the more difficult solution that required, Albi took it all in stride. Because of the age of the windows, the replacement could not be done on site. But he appreciated that speed was of the essence. He promised to return the windows next morning latest. And he delivered on his promise. The new windows look and work great. I don't see how the experience could have been better. Clearly 10/10. If 11 were possible, I'd give him that! Highly recommended. I have already referred a couple of friends to him

I called Drainworks after a blocked drain in my basement flooded my laundry room. Armando & Lou came the next day to assess the problem and recommend next steps. One of the things I like about Drainworks is their “show & tell”: showing the customer on a monitor what the drain camera is seeing so it’s easier to discuss options. My solution required the clearing of pipe blockages inside and outside my house and having the City of Toronto come by to clear the pipes on their side of my property. Frankly the fix was more complex than I’d imagined. But I am convinced that it was the right solution. At no time did I feel "upsold" or pressured into choosing the priciest solution. They were very candid & knowledgeable, answering my questions in a clear, no-jargon manner. The work was done very proficiently and I will not hesitate to call Drainworks the next time I need drain or plumbing work.

I hired Ben and 2BWired to install two lamp posts in my front and back yard. It’s a bit of a complex project (pouring concrete, digging trenches, running wires to the panel etc. ). Other electricians I contacted didn’t have the expertise (sometimes their assessment, sometimes mine), tried to talk me into a quicker, easier (for them) solution or quoted a price that was over the moon. Not Ben. He clearly knew his stuff and welcomed the project. Ben is that rare breed of contractor who shows up when he says he will, is reachable and communicative, sticks to his timeline, and does excellent work at a reasonable price. What else could you ask for? I was so pleased with the work on the lamp posts that I rehired 2BWired to upgrade my panel and electrical service. Again, excellent work completed on time and on budget. I highly recommend Ben and 2BWired and would not hesitate to call them the next time I require electrical work.

I have a 100 year old house, that uses radiator heat in Toronto. So, I have no ducts and no central AC. The one ductless AC unit I bought from Reliance a few years ago continues to work very well. But it is not strong enough to cool the whole house. So, I decided to buy another ductless unit from Reliance. They sent over Alec & Ali to assess my needs. Both were great & clearly knew their stuff. We discussed the size of unit I needed and best placement. They explained my options clearly and answered all my questions. Once I decided to make the purchase, Alec arranged for prompt installation that suited my schedule. The installers, Chris & Rob, arrived on time, did an excellent job and went the extra mile to ensure that I was satisfied. Importantly, they cleaned up after themselves. The installation took about 5 hours -- well within the 4-6 hour window they had predicted. Overall, I am very pleased with the work done by Reliance and I highly recommend them

I had a popcorn ceiling removed a couple of weeks ago and decided to use that as an opportunity to replace some very old pot lights. I required two visits from an electrician: one to remove the old pot lights before the plasterer did his work; and one to install the new pot lights after the ceiling was plastered. Reliance did a fabulous job. They were sensitive to the plasterer coordination issue and scheduled the two electrician visits in the exact windows I had requested. That made life a lot easier. Richard, the electrician, arrived on time for both appointments, answered my questions and did an excellent job. I highly recommend him and Reliance and would not hesitate to refer them to friends and family.

Ronan at Carrigane Plasterworks is that rare breed of professional: a contractor who shows up when he says he will, communicates progress, sticks to his timeline, and does excellent work at a reasonable price. What else could you ask for? I hired Ronan to repair a popcorn ceiling. Ronan met a challenging timeline and went the extra mile to ensure that he’d deliver quality work in a timely way. How good was his work? Let me put it this way: the electrician who installed my pot lights, after Ronan had repaired the ceiling, liked the plastering work so much that he asked for Ronan’s contact information to repair a popcorn ceiling in his own home. And ya gotta believe that electricians see lots of popcorn ceiling repairs. I have already recommended Ronan to a couple of people and would not hesitate to pass his name along to others. Work with him: you won’t be sorry

I was quoted a price for cleaning of eavestroughs and downspouts - a price I agreed to - and we set up a day for the work to be done. On the day the work was done, I was left a copy of the original quote with the total crossed out by hand, and an additional amount added. I had never agreed to the add-on. I paid the agreed-upon amount - about $180 - by cheque the next day along with a note explaining why I was not paying he additional charge - about $75. No give on their part and no acknowledgement of their error. After about 8 months they sent the matter to a collection agency. I'm not surprised their approval rating is 38%. Stay away!!! MY REPLY TO "COMPANY RESPONSE" BELOW: The company's version of our verbal contract is inaccurate. The amount agreed to was for the full service - cleaning of eaves troughs AND downspouts. And that's what their original paperwork reflected - before it was hand-doctored on site. I am a very dissatisfied customer and will never use them, or recommend them, again. And I am not alone. When I wrote this review their approval rating on Homestars was 38%. Today it is 30%.

Michael spend several hours here cleaning the exterior and interior windows. He did an excellent job at fair price. I will definitely use EZ again for window cleaning and will also contact them in the Fall for gutter cleaning. I am very happy with the results and I have no hesitation recommending the company to friends.

I recently finished a home renovation and had lots of drywall dust etc, stuck in my area rugs. They needed help and Ben came to the rescue. TRC cleaned 4 area rugs very well, supplied and installed 3 under pads and repaired one frayed rug. I am very happy with the results. But that's just part of the story. I imagine there are lots of companies that can clean rugs. The thing that really stands out for me is this: Ben really knows how to treat a customer. During his two visits to my house (rug pickup, and subsequent delivery and installation) I can think of 4 or 5 examples where Ben went the extra mile on customer service -- doing little extras that he clearly didn't have to do -- and thereby far exceeding my expectations. . I highly recommend Ben and TRC

I live in an older home (1921) & needed two thermal window replacements to match those beside them. Previous windows were installed over 20 years ago so I knew matching might be a problem. Nick came to measure, saw the situation and called his supplier to inquire about a special order. The result: a great match and a satisfied customer. Kudos to Nick for going the extra mile and not simply saying (as others did) "the suppliers don't stock those anymore" The staff at Apex were great too, communicating clearly and promptly. Highly recommended!!
