    Bed Bugs

When discovering that my house may have bed bugs I did my homework and looked into 10-15 pest control company's in the GTA. I got 4 inspectors to come by the house to confirm what the pest was. After doing this, I realized how many fake people there are out there, telling you, you have bed bugs just to get your money. I finally got a hold of Joe who was honest, professional and knew his stuff! Joe came by and checked out the house entirely. He said he saw absolutely no traces of bed bugs but recommended a canine inspector just to confirm 100% - he thought it was most likely fleas. The canine inspector came in and it was confirmed, we did not have bed bugs! We did have fleas, but that is something that can be prevented for three quarters of the price. Thanks to Joe, we saved over $1000! I highly recommend Joe!! .

Thanks for your review. I work closely with a canine inspection company and have seen the dogs in action. Anjelek at Eviction Pest Control is a pro at bed bug detection. It is impossible for a human being to detect the location of bed bugs in all areas of a home. The fact that the dogs were able to rule out the bed bug possibility was important.. I was then able to focus my efforts on fleas and over the course of a month the bites have now completely stopped. Thanks for your review

    Squirrel eviction

I highly recommend Joe, he did a great job getting the squirrels out of my attic! He came a put a one way door to make sure they were out and stayed out. He even did some extra work on my place for no charge (filled in some of my crumbling brick), and sealed up another place that I had done myself, but wasn't quite up to snuff. Also when he came back to remove the one way door I told him they were getting in another way (persistent buggers). He put in another one way door for me for an amazing price! He really cares about getting the job done and making sure its done right. I would definitely recommend anyone who is looking for pest control talk to him!

    Answer from pro:

I wasn't surprised they found another in way which is why I waited a few weeks before removing the initial door. The house is now bullet proof. Thanks for your review.Joe

    Pest control

Joe came out on an emergency call to handle a Racoon problem. He came when he said he would and handled the situation professionally. I would recommend Snap to anyone in an emergency situation like mine, In need of a professional. Thanks Joe!

    Answer from pro:

Thanks for your review. This client needed these raccoons evicted. Remember that raccoons are mating now so it is important to call when noises are heard right away because those babies are coming to an attic, garage, shed, deck, window well, car ,boat ,truck, plane, or any other place I've missed near you.Joe

    Pest Control

Joe from Snap Pest Control found & fixed a nagging mouse entry point that another company could not fix even though I paid them a lot of money which now seems to be overkill going by some other great pest control companies I researched. After using a certain Pest Control company that charged me $3500 to inspect the external structure for rodent entry points & then plugging them up as well as fixing a squirrel entry point, plus $275 for double baiting the attic, baiting the garage & inside the house (even though I kept telling them no mice had ever entered the inside of the house & that they were only within the walls), I still had evidence of mice in the walls from the pungent odor coming from the bedroom above the attached garage & spreading to the adjacent room. After much pleading with that pest control co. they finally sent out a 27-year veteran of the industry who came, took a good look around & re-assured me that my house was totally sealed & that I had absolutely nothing to worry about but when I asked him why I was still smelling the rodents he said that it was from the mice that were already trapped inside & that they would eventually die off after a week or two after finding & eating the bait in the attic. I was almost convinced but not quite, having already lost confidence with this company; my worst fears were realized when a week after this inspector left I began to notice that pungent mouse odor (not dead ones but live ones); of course I could differentiate between a dead mouse odor & the stench of their nests but this company totally & conveniently disregarded this. So then began the process of contacting this company & pleading with them again & again but they in their minds were satisfied that they did a good job & thought I was imagining things even though I was suffering with these noxious pungent smells that was spreading from room to room. Their story kept changing - first it was 2-3 weeks, then it became 6 weeks, even though it's more than 6 weeks, then they said the mice will eventually find the bait. Their attitude was terrible in the sense that they were grilling me to see if I was imagining things even though they kept telling me that they believe me but in the next breath they kept asking me irrelevant questions like they did not believe me – total giveaway. I see a previous review which talked about the same issue they had with this company despite them providing proof of the mice droppings. They did not follow up on the bait stations inside the house & attic either - apparently they double-baited so no need for follow-up. What kind of company is that! They kept telling me about their 3-year warranty but what was the point if they could not even come right away while the problem was still ongoing, just soon after they supposedly sealed up the place! I don’t trust that warranty & I will never call them back - bye bye to my hard earned money. They caulked unnecessary places without fixing the real problem, except that it was easy for this company to show they did a lot of work! If they could not come & inspect & fix my nagging problem now, how will I ever expect them to come within the next 3 years? I think NOT! They quoted me almost $200 (per hole) to cut holes in the drywall & place bait & deodorizer but that's a temporary fix so I did not buy that. The conclusion: I finally found Joe Bruno from SNAP PEST CONTROL & after reading his 10-star reviews on HomeStars, I knew I had found the most honest & experienced guy so I called him & told him the story of my life & after spending a short time inspecting the external structure, he found the opening where mice were still entering – despite the so-called professional job by the other company. Joe did not even charge me for his work as he felt so bad that I had spent such a lot of money on the other company. I did not even have to plead with Joe about my story – he, being so professional, honest and an expert in the business, understood exactly what I explained to him and he set to work with his PIN-POINT investigative/detective skills. He has a knack for sniffing out those mice. I know now that my problem is solved because I trust Joe & I saw him in action. I will always call on Joe in the future to inspect my house annually. I will certainly spread the good news about his work. I have proof of his excellent work with the photos below which I intend to place on my review of the other sub-par pest control company.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks for the lengthy review. I received the call last week while out with a colleague that owns another pest control company in Milton. Clearly upset my client proceeded to tell me her story and I was amazed, however; not entirely surprised in the least because I have encountered this shameful practice before. Mainly centred in the Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, and the Milton areas I would say there are 3-4 companies out there that are getting these huge dollar values on mice jobs. The attitude is profit driven at any cost and usually involves soffit caulking, insulation removal, baiting and long warranties and no on-going plan. The last time I encountered these guys was in Oakville where another elderly lady paid $3500 for a mouse job and still had the mice. The caulking job in this review was unnecessary because the soffits were tight enough except for the front area. Mice were entering via a gap in the garage door and scaling the wall to enter the bedroom above the garage. I was surprised they missed the opening because it was plain to see and made sense given where the smells were concentrated according to my client. There was no need for a squirrel door, and double baiting consisted of adding 8 more blocks which they charged $ 275 dollars. Also, no quarter inch mesh to the most vulnerable areas where wall meets foundation. Interestingly enough just last week I had a former employee of this company call me to inquire about a job and I when he told me where he last worked I told him I was not interested. I would have done the whole job for around $275 I did the job for free because I felt so bad for my client. I will check in on her periodically.

    pest control

Based on the positive reviews I called Joe from Snap pest Control because we were hearing something moving around in our attic. Joe came over and was quickly able to identify that we had squirrels in the attic. Joe showed me where the squirrels had eaten their way through the wood under the shingles. once the squirrels were out Joe replaced the wood and sealed the edges of the roof with wire mesh, and he even had his own shingles to attach back to the roof. Joe also put some wire meshing in some of the cracks around the house to keep the mice out at no extra cost. Joe was professional, fast and has all the right tools to do the job, I am very happy with his service and highly recommend his services to anyone. thanks. Joe

    Answer from pro:

Thanks for the review. Clearly the squirrels had chewed up the corners of this bungalow style home and it was important to get them out quick. It took some spaced out visits and they were evicted. I had to splice in some sheathing, shingle and mesh up the weak spots. While there I even closed off some mice access spots while Joe went out for some much needed Tim Horton's coffee. Thanks .

    Rats elimination

Recently moved into this house and found rats in our home making noise during the night in the basement. Joe Bruno is a great guy with a lot of knowledge from S.N.A.P. pest control. He came in spent couple hours to inspect in every details of the house to help us find the source where they are come from. They came into the house from a couple cement crack holes in the garage. Laid rat poison food at these access points and at the activity areas around the house. No more sleepless night in 1 week all rats are gone. Thank you Joe

    Answer from pro:

Thanks guys it was a pleasure to work on this job. It has been a crazy year for rats and mice and it seems there's no end in site. Over the phone it appeared we were dealing with mice however; one look at the tracks on the central vac and I knew we had a larger brown suit to deal with. I baited the strongest rodenticide and it was prudent to not seal the holes right away lest our friends be locked out and create some unpleasant odours. Rat jobs are tricky indeed. Cement with nails as rebar were used to exclude them out in the end.

    Raccoon Removal

I heard scratching noises outside on my roof a couple of nights in a row and saw a raccoon walking on my roof. I called Joe and he came to check the roof after a snowstorm and confirmed that under the snow it appeared that an animal had started tearing away at the roof. The day after the snow melted and the raccoon had entered the attic that night for the first time. Joe came the next day and installed a one way door and within hours the raccoon was out. Joe repaired and patched up the roof. Joe did a great job in a tough and awkward part of the roof. I would recommend him to anyone.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks for the review. I was first called to assess the issue just after that early snow storm we had in December. With the snow cover it appeared as if there was no access into the attic. The hole became apparent only after removing 2 feet of snow with a shovel. My quick thinking proactive client called me and the raccoon left via a 1 way door which was installed. Afterwards, the hole was patched with plywood, re-shingled and a mesh barrier installed over top as insurance. Getting the raccoon out quickly is important because raccoons in January, February, March are pregnant already and in 60 days they will be dropping a litter and are scouting out nesting sites as we speak. Therefore, Keep a close watch on your house and seal off those week spots now before its too late. Joe

    Snap Pest Control

The first company I called was unable to tell me even after, they put in a one way trap door and 2 weeks of scratching noises in attic and $$$ whether it was mice or squirrels in my attic. I was very frustrated and so I called Joe of Snap Pest Control to help me. Joe came as soon as I called. He went up into the attic, confirmed it was mice, laid mouse poison in the attic, sealed outside entry point and within 2 days no more scratching sounds in the attic at 3am! I highly recommend Joe and his services. He knows what he is doing. He is the man to call. Thank you Joe!

    Answer from pro:

In fact this seasons reports on scratching noises in attics, ceilings and walls has been the worst. Every day there have been numerous calls regarding noise issues and I`ve never seen it so bad. The severe winter we had last year has made pests gravitate toward homes and I believe it will be a new pattern. Access is still the key and sealing entry points in particular is the only solution. I would recommend to deal with this issue in the late summer months when the activity is in its infancy. Thanks for the review Joe

    Rodent prevention

Had an issue with rodents living under the front exterior steps. Joe came by to ensure that no rodents have made it inside and also took the time to insert mesh around any openings that could serve as an entry point. Joe was honest and fair. Thanks again for your help.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks for the review. The issue here was confined to the exterior and the mice were not able to access the home. Still, it was wise on my client's behalf to be pro-active. Potential access areas were found and sealed and the home is now bullet-proof.
