Salesperson Najeem was courteous and returned my calls quickly. Dryer took some time to come in, however, when it did, there was a problem with the payment of my balance which caused me stress. Upon investigation, it wasn't the credit card company but rather an error done by someone in Customer Service. Even though delivery times are approximate, I was perturbed that the delivery took 45 minutes longer than the estimated time as I had an appointment to get to. Overall though, it wasn't a bad experience.

Shakeel Ahmad from North Star Pest Control responded to my service request almost immediately after placing. His communications skills were impressive as he answered my questions in lightening speed. After contact with a couple of other companies, I had no doubt that I wanted to go with this company. Got an inspection appointment the next day, Shakeel came right on time and luckily, it was good news. He is bright, knowledgeable, honest and personable and I will for sure be recommending him and his company to all my friends and family! They really do deserve the 99% rating!

Owner Christian answered my call on a Sunday which was surprising. When he came to help me with some pool issues, I found him knowledgeable and friendly. I have no doubt he will take his company to higher heights and wish him much success. After much frustration in trying to get hold of a pool filter, owner Christian came through for me again! I was very happy that he was able to skillfully install the new filter in the same spot as my previous one and even configured a better place for my pump to make it easier for me. He worked diligently from start to finish and he and his assistant Deklan were respectful, courteous and professional. Although they were busy, they didn’t mind me asking questions and were compliant with my requests. This was not the first time I used Christian’s services and it won’t be the last!

Enbridge shut off my gas due to gas leak to dryer. After several unsuccessful attempts with a couple of companies from Homestars, owner Dan answered my call right away which is surprising these days. He helped me figure out what I needed to have done by explaining some important factors for my situation. He also didn’t want me to not have heat so he sent his crew Bobby and Mohamed fairly soon after our call. I was very impressed with their proficiency and they did a great job! No wonder they have such a high rating with Homestars!

Went with Comfort Masters as Brian W, Sr. Comfort Advisor was very knowledgeable and helpful in answering questions that I had. The Installation crew, Ali and Farhad came earlier than expected (which was great!) and worked quietly and diligently throughout the morning. The job was done smoothly and I was pleased with the expertise of the installation crew. Great job!

Needed a replacement toilet for powder room. Did a lot of research but wanted to actually sit on different toilets to see how they would feel and test the heights. Checked Lowes, Rona, Home Depot and Bath Emporium but the stores only had one or two on the floor with the exception of Bath Emporium which had a few more. Luckily I came across Bradshaw Plumbing and called them. Spoke to Karen who was very helpful and knowledgeable so was encouraged to go to their showroom. Karen was busy so her colleague Tim offered to help until Karen was free. I got to try several toilets and ended up buying one of the toilets on my shortlist. They were friendly, professional and I would highly recommend them.

After reading through the great reviews, contacted Garage Door Geeks and spoke to Nazar about my broken garage door opener. We discussed fixing vs new and I decided on a new unit. Even though I usually get quotes from 3 or 4 vendors, I didn’t bother this time because I had a good feeling about Nazar and the price was reasonable. He came on time the next day, was friendly, honest and very knowledgeable. It is refreshing to see someone with such great passion for his work and I would recommend him and his company without hesitation.

Was horrified to see a cockroach crawling across my kitchen counter in plain daylight! Killed it and immediately went to HOMESTARS to look for an exterminator. Reached out to about 5 highly rated companies and HOMESTARS sent out alerts as well. Since it was late at night, I didn’t expect to receive any responses but I did and the first to respond was Manish Patel of Patel Pest Control. I also got quotes from several others as well. After exchanging emails with a couple of the companies including Patel, I chose Patel based on price, experience and knowledge. I didn’t think I had an infestation because there were no signs but I needed to take care of it just in case. He deposited powder and gel in the kitchen, washroom and laundry room. We both suspected that this unwanted guest came into my home with a take-out order of food the night before. It’s been three weeks since the treatment and I am happy to report that all is clear. I would highly recommend Patel Pest Control because Manish was honest, knowledgeable and the price was right.

Windows were installed in early October. I was expecting vinyl wrapped wood casings and was very disappointed when unpainted off colour wood ones were installed instead. I had clearly stated that I did not want to paint anything in discussions with the salesperson and the contract did not clearly say that I was not getting them nor that they do not carry that product. I now have to pay someone to paint the windows. I contacted the company the day after the install with my concern with the workmanship. Finally, on Jan 5, two staff came to inspect the windows and ended up patching the gaps in each of the corners of the 7 windows as there was not enough wood fill. One window casing was not fitted properly but there was no offer to fix it. The original installers could have done a better job if they had not come late and rushed the work. Also, even though the windows are supposed to be triple glass, I can hear more external noise than before I replaced the windows.

Rep receiving call was personable and accommodating. Appointment booked for the next day which I was happy about cause it was a really hot day and would not have been able to survive another day without A/C. Service Technician was on time - in fact earlier than beginning of block which I appreciated. Service Technician affable, experienced and got job done in reasonable time. Lucky I had the Home Protection Plan so didn't have to pay for the service call. I was happy with this experience mostly due to the service tech, Edward Chan.

David and Joseph were prompt and systematic in diagnosing the problem with the fridge. It turned out to be the timer and luckily, they had the part on hand. They also de-iced the coils before putting the unit back together. David was also very helpful in explaining what was happening and answered all of my questions. I was contemplating buying a new fridge since mine was about 15 years old but took a chance that repair would be a better decision. It turned out that the cost was reasonable and I believe I made the right choice. I would not hesitate to recommend this company as both David and Joseph acted in a professional manner and provided great customer service.

Today was a good day cause the crew from Canada Fence (Rich, Bill, Nkosi) came to build and install a new backyard fence. They were friendly, skilled and worked diligently. They explained some of the things that needed to be done and addressed my concerns. I chose Canada Fence because the owner, Terry Robins was the first to respond, was congenial, understood my requirements and had the best price. From our conversations, I could tell he was a professional whom I could trust and he didn't prove me wrong. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to others.

Robert Landry's A-Team (Jimmy, Billy, Hank, John) came on time, worked right through and did a superb job! They were very skilled, courteous and answered all my questions (some not even related to the roof). They even got rid of dead squirrels from my attic and had to contend with a bunch of yellow jacket wasps. The price wasn’t the cheapest but was well worth it. Robert’s extensive experience, knowledge, professionalism and down to earth attitude were very much appreciated and I would not hesitate to recommend his company to anyone and everyone.

Jerry and his colleague, Krishna came on Sunday to check : 1. sizzling fuse 2. fuse blowing. After intensive investigation, they found that the one fuse was overloaded. They resolved the problem without knocking out the ceiling and fixed some of the switches as well. Jerry previously gave me Fuse Box 101 and now this time, I learned even more. I feel much more safe now that the lines have been rewired. He and Krishna were very professional, knowledgeable and didn't waste time. They also took off their shoes when they entered my house, which was very much appreciated since it was a rainy day. Jerry also gave me a really fair price too. I will certainly recommend him to my family and friends.

Found Agincourt Pool Service Ltd by accident by searching the net. After a very frustrating pool opening, I needed quick service to clear the blockage in my lines. Nicole was very pleasant when I contacted her and tried her best to get someone out as soon as possible which was the next day. I had called others but they were too busy and were more expensive. Dave came and cleared the lines when I was at work and when I got home, i was relieved and pleased that everything was working fine.

My friends recommended this company but I had also checked out others. I chose this company because Louis was very pleasant and gave me an estimate way lower than the others. He explained everthing that I needed to know and also answered my questions satisfactorily. Although I waited a little longer to get my door than was promised, the installers made up for it by being prompt and did an excellent job of installing and cleaning up. They even managed to re-connect my alarm. My door was installed in Nov so I am just now enjoying it and am not disappointed.

Jerry promptly answered my call and was flexible enough to change his schedule to accomodate my availability. Others whom I called were either too busy or didn't think the job was "large" enough. He was on time, listened to my concerns and gave me Electrical fuse box 101. Luckily there didn't seem to be any imminent serious problems. I am now more educated and feel much safer after the inspection. I would certainly recommend Jerry to others.

Elvis and his coworker came earlier than expected which was great and he came all the way from the west end. He was very personable and pleasant and explained everything. He even showed pictures of what the damage was and what the repair looked like afterwards. They even hammered down my loose eaves without charging - how cool was that? I will definately recommend him to my family and friends. It's tough to impress me and they did! Great job! Even though this is an old review, I am changing my rating from a 9 to a 4 because Elvis wrote a scathing response to my giving him a 9 instead of a 10 and insulted me and all of Scarborough. Even though the service was good, I would not recommend him because of his poor attitude.

Wow You really are hard to please. Even with the extras you mentioned that I did for no charge not to mention taking care of your problem on a Sunday (my only day off) in poor weather I was not able to gain that 10 star rating. In fact you brought my rating down a tad... How uncool is that?! Not sure I will be going to Scarborough anytime soon seeing people in Scarborough are so hard to please...
