Repair rot / water damage: Small area indoors

It is possible that the shower tile was not done to code with waterproof backing. The wall beside the tub has softened and appears to have possible mold due to wetness.

Repair rot / water damage: Small area indoors

This is the wall beside the bathroom door. When showering, water collects on this door. I'm not sure if this damage is caused by water from showering or a plumbing issue inside the wall. The ceiling beneath this bathroom is also peeling, so I suspect water is seeping down inside the wall.

Repair rot / water damage: Small area indoors

We discovered the window in the bathroom was leaking and opened the wall to access the damage. We found the insulation was wet and the wood framing rotted and wet. The black in photos is not mold… it’s the wet black tar paper that has disintegrated. We will remove the rotted wood but we’d like quotes on the following: - replace window - replaced framing, insulate wall with appropriate materials (vapour barrier etc) - install new drywall - first round of tape and mud (we will finish the following required layers of mud to save money) Thanks

Repair rot / water damage: Small area indoors

Several water bubble from the celling near windows. Might be related from the Ice Damm formed out side roof located right next to windows.

Note however that the location of the water is above ground level (i.e. the main floor of my house is well above ground level). I cut the paint to let the water out. It continues to slowly appear in the same location and I have been soaking it up with paper towels. I don't know what the source of the water is (possibly from the roof, but I don't see any other evidence of water between the roof and this area.
