Insect pest control: Diagnosis and treatment; Bed bugs

Two weeks ago had single bed bug incident in Master bedroom. Wife bitten 1/2 dozen times. 4 brownish blood marks on white sheets. Bed stripped, sheets/duvet washed and died on high heat. Mattress moved but no bugs found after a detailed search. No further incidents until last night. Guest in other bedroom was bitten 4 times and found a single (apparently male) bed bug in the bed which was dead. No other bugs found after thorough search.
